post lasik ecstasia

i had lasik in 2002 and got back my number in 2008 or may be early
now my number is -2.75 cylindrical  in left eye and -5.5 cylindrical in right eye and vision is 6/6 in both eyes with specks
my number in left eye is stable from last 5 years and right eye is stable from last 3 years
can my number still increase or get stable now?

Hello doctor
Since my number is stable from last five to six years should I still get cross linking of my cornea or wait and keep monitoring my eye with periodic topography ?

Hello Doctor
I did not understand the meaning of =

My question is
Even if there was ectasia in my eye but my refraction is stable for five years then is it unlikely to change ?
Secondly is there any test to measure strength of cornea at present ?

Ok I understand thanks
My one last question
Even if ecstasia was suspected in right eye
But since it is stable for 5 years even then is it unlikely to progress further ???
And does cross linking of collagen work in post LASIK eyes ???

It has been tried. Follow this link:  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3359036/

I showed my pentacam reports to local MD here
He told me there is ecstasia in right eye and left eye there is suspected
So even if there was ecstasia  in right eye and since refraction is stable from 5 years is it still unlikely for it to progress further ???

No Medhelp.com does not allow personal contact or review of testing like that.  I can't take this discussion any further.

So should I wear scelar lens or normal specks ?
Does it improve vision and is it comfortable like soft lens
Secondly if I use contacts ? Can it harm my eyes ?

Those questions can only be answered by an Eye MD that has examined your eyes and also looked at all the technical data. Yes you can damage your eyes with contacts. Anyone can.

By not progress means not progressing forever ?

I mean if ectasia does occur after lasik does it always progresses or becomes stable also
Secondly in my case there is no progression from let 5 or 6 years does that mean it is stable now and will not progress ?

Thanks doctor
My pentcam is stable and even the thickness of my cornea is 460 mm and 450 mm since the last 5 years
Is it possible that if there was ectasia and it got stable then it remains stable forever ?

No to everything:   If your eye begins to regress and some myopia or cylinder re-occurs that does not mean you have ectasia.  That Dx is usually made with slit lamp exam, corneal topography and pachymetry.   Even if ectasia is Dx'ed it often doesn't progress.

My eye sight before surgery if lasik was -3 spherical in both eyes and no cylendriical
I think it became normal after surgery but started coming back number after 1 or 2 years
Can my eyes be stable as they are stable from more than 5 or 6 years ?
Does all post lasik ectasia eyes end up for corneal transplantation ?

You don't mention what your glasses RX was before your surgery. That is VIP. Also don't mention whether after your LASIK you were 0.00 which is the usual target.

Your glasses RX has not changed in 3 years that is a good sign. But it's not possible to tell you whether in the future the amount of myopia might increase.
