Seeing weird lights

Ive been seeing these silver like lines, triangles and star types, sometimes lasting for hours. what could be cause of this?

Yes, visual migraine would be way up on the list of possibilities.  Please see an ophthalmologist for a complete dilated exam.

I am not an ophthalmologist, (nor do I play one on TV), but I work in the field. It could be ocular migraines. (yes, they exist and you don't have to have a headache to have them)

I see something very similar to this too but I have it 24/7 and it never goes away. :( I have been to both a Ophthalmologist and Neuro-Ophthalmologist but they say that my optic nerves are okay.

I have also tried Migraine Medicine due to my doctors thinking it was an ocular migraine, but it didn't help at all. :(

May I ask, did you ever have your Retina fully examined? My Doctor ordered that I have that done to rule out a problem within the Retina. I hope you feel a whole lot better very soon!!!! Good Luck and Best Wishes!!!!!! :) :)
