Dear CJ3932,
I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD.
Dr. Feldman

ClearView Eye and Laser Medical Center

Please make an appointment with an ophthalmologist right away to be evaluated for the flashing lights. There is a chance you could have a vitreous detachment or even a retinal detachment so it is important to be checked out right away.
MJK MD
Get your eyes checked to be sure no retinal tear. Very unlikely though as you do not have main symptoms like increase in floaters, etc. But get it checked for a peace of mind.
Do make an appointment to see a eye md. Better safe than sorry.
I had a trauma last month and my right eye got hurt badly. I went to ER immediatly and the doctor diagnosed as corneal abrasion. Afterwards, I see floaters, a shower of floater at right corner 1 second when I moved my eyes away, plus eye soreness, water eye and eye discharge. I went to see a optometrist several weeks ago, he took my eye pictures and didn't see anything abnormal. However, it is very bothering and the symtoms sometimes get worse and sometimes get better. What should I do? Do I need to see an Opthotomalgist?
