recent posts (2016) on toric questions.

I think I read in older posts that the risk of toric rotation is higher in significantly myopic patients but when I read the more recent 2016 discussions, it was more like - the risk was slight but there, but it couldn't be said to be related to any factor in particular... more like it's a small risk like any other type of risk. I'll just have to have another  dr visit.  I will need a new evaluation because I had originally thought I'd get it done sooner but didn't and it's been a year now..... at that time,  the doctor said he'd consider either toric or LRI for my 'regular' type astigmatism of 1.7D (and LRI only for 1.1D in the other eye).  I do have high myopia, like -8.  So anyway it's a risk of rotation ... whether one has high myopia or not?  Seems like that was what it said in 2016.

Yes and yes:  Always a risk of rotation or putting in 'off axis" and higher risk in higher myopic eyes.

I'd assume that the rotation would occur, if it would do so, within the first months or so of the surgery... or, could it happen much later on?
It's just one of the risks, like the risks in the procedure itself - like the fact that risk of RD goes a bit higher after cataract surgery for highly myopic patients, but if you need the cataract surgery then you assume that type of risk. It's not that it will even happen, but it helps to know the risk.  (I have a friend who's something like -22 her whole life in both eyes, and had successful cataract surgery and no RD's afterward).
Teller I don't know where these conversations are going. you have asked about 59 questions many of them the same or a variation of the same. I really don't have any further comments and you will need to get answers from your personal ophthalmologists.
