restor iol

I had bilateral restor lenses put in.   After the second eye was completed, I saw clearly for 3 weeks, then I started to have problems with constrast sensitivity.   My surgeons solution was the yag on the right eye.   It did not help, now she is saying the left eye needs it.  I refuse to have this done.   I understand to explant the lense on the right eye really cannot be done after the yag.   I am going to see another surgeon to get a second opinion.  I asked my current surgeon about explanting the left eye (without the yag) and putting in a distant monofocal lense and she refuses.  She said I see good enough and gave me a prescrption glasses and sent me on my way.  I have to travel quite far for the second surgeon as it is somebody recommended.   I did speak to him on the phone and he and my current surgeon all say it takes about 6 mths to see well.  I don't know if I want to wait that long and should just have the restor explanted to put in a distance monofocal and leave the restor in the other eye and hope I can manage.    So not sure what I should do.   I had the first eye done in June and the second in July.   What is really confusing me is that the second eye was clear and then started having issues, so I am not confident time will help.   Any suggestions?

He is also saying based on the symptoms, he thinks there is a problem with dry eye.  Didn't know that cause such issues, but he seems to think that could be it.

It is just so frustrating and upsetting.    I did ask her if my astigmistism could be the issue and she waved me off and said no.  The glass prescription has a small correction for that, but she really did not want me to even get glasses. And then she didn't even want to follow up with me anymore, which is ridiculous.   She said I can come back in 9 mths for my normal exam.

Thank you for your reply.

I would recommend waiting.  It seems to me that your have a residual refractive error since glasses were prescribed.  If they help consider a laser touch up.
