retina specialist Philadelphia PA

I have post vitreous detachment (12/21/07) in one eye.  Went to see Dr. Alexander Eaton (retina specialist) in Naples & Ft. Myers, FL while visiting.  He is excellent ... but I don't live there.

I need an ace retinal specialist in southeastern PA.  Dr. Eaton did not know any doctors personally, only by credentials.  He suggested Dr. Carl Regillo of Wills Eye.

Does any one know anything about Dr. Regillo? Or of an outstanding retina specialist in southeastern PA?

can i ask why you need to see an ophthalmologist again if you've had a post vitreous detatchment (confirmed with no related retinal tear) as this is a common uncomplicated event

Good afternoon!

I am an RN and currently being followed by the corneal department at Wills Eye!  The docs and their facility are outstanding!!  They are rated either #1 or #2 in the country for eye problems and surgery!  You would probably do wel by making an appointment at Wills Eye!

You might try using Castle-Connolly's listings to find a retinal specialist.  All of their doctors are board-certified and have been recommended by other doctors as someone they would see themselves or refer a family member to see.  You can access their data base for a nominal fee at www.castleconnolly.com.
