retinal hole
my eye dr said I have a small retinal hole , she said it has pigmentation so that is good, she wants to recheck in a month but gave her cell incase I notice any changes and told me to call her asap if I did. After reading the post on here it seems that this is not that big a deal and it is quite common for ones to have this condition so my question does the eye heal it's self , what is the pigmentation she mentioned and is it a big deal? OH yeah and is my DR just being a good Dr by giving me her cell just in case ?
The DR said it was a small hole, and that I have pigmentation around it, also as I said I have been having some flashes and floaters as well, she want to recheck it in one month but was concerned and as I mentioned if any thing changes call her asap.. She mentioned that Lazer would fix it so what do you think?

Hole? Is this a retinal tear or a round holes? Holes are not treated.

The main indication for treatment is symptoms. Retinal tears (horseshoes) with symptoms such as flashes and floaters should be treated. Round holes or asymptomatic tears do not need treatment. The complication are higher than the natural course.
