It may be an conjuctival cyst but have an ophthalmologist take a look at it. If that is what it is you can either leave it alone or sometimes excise it. Chloramphenical has some rare but serious side effects - so please don't use it unless directed by a physician.

On my right eye, I have what looks like a 'tear' drop on the sclera (pharmist's words). I only just noticed this recently when looking at the mirror while washing. You can't notice it unless you look very hard. It does not impair my vision or anything like that. I went to the pharmacy and he gave me anti-biotic eye drops (containng chloramphenicol 0.5%W/V) saying it looks like conjuctivtis. There is stickiness of the eyes etc. - usually symptoms of conjunctivis. Is this something that will go away (especially on the sclera)?
I forgot to mention that I do spend alot of time on the computer 7 days a week (more than 7 hours a day Mon-Fri).
I saw friend who is an Ophthalmologist and showed him my eye. He said there is nothing to worry about. He said not to use it but sterile water.
He said if it was something to worry about then you would know about (eye would watering, hurt etc).
if it was a conjuctival cyst what treatment would you recommend. Use of optrex, sterile water etc.
Ask your ophthalmologist for the diagnosis; he has seen your eye and given you care instructions.
