Has your sister ever been to a rheumatologist? I also have scleritis and in my quest to figure out the cause for it, I have been to several rheumatologists. One of the most frequently asked questions is whether I have joint pain which I do not. My suggestion would be to find a rheumatologist and have them do a complete blood work up to see what the underlying cause is.
Good luck and I hope your sister gets some relief.
i recently had eye pain in my left eye, went to bed, thinking I had a migraine, when I woke up the next morning, the left quadrant of my eye was bright red,and I had pain around my eye. I went to the eye doctor, and he said it was inflamed and it would be very hard to control, that I was very lucky that is didn't spread to my vision. but I had no infection. he started me on prednisone drops. I've been taking them for 10 days, 4x's a day and the redness is gone, but he said I have many bumps inside my lids that it may be allergies that has caused the scleritis. Is this something that can just clear up, and easily as it came? I have no known illnesses. I was thinking of getting a checkup just to to be sure, there isn't an underlying condition that has not been discovered yet. any advice? I've never had problems with my eyes before, and I have no known allergies.
I'm sorry but I don't have any contacts in those areas. I'm pretty much limited to the United States.
