shadow over eye

hello  5 weeks ago i woke up to find my left eye had what i can only describe has a frosty shadow over it i left it for two weeks thinking it was just floaters no change  so went to the doctors who gave me a blood pressure test found it was high and put me on felodipine prolonged release tablets 2.5 mg asked what i could do about my eye his responce was lets get your blood pressure sorted first so i left it after another 3 weeks i started to worry so went to the eye hospital who examined the outer eye which was fine then put drops in to make pupil large and  after 20 mins examined the rest of eye once finished he called another doctor in to have a look  once finished the doctor said my optic nerve end was pale and didnt know why he couldnt see anything obvious then said it could have been caused by the blood pressure or a stroke in the eye  he then said he was going to send me for a scan incase he had missed anything i am now panicking is there anything you can add to rest my mind  or do i just have to wait for the scan   thankyou

It is a potentially serious problem and your HBP could have caused a vascular occlusion of one of the blood vessels of the retina or optic nerve. Take their advice and work through the causes.
