strange vison problems

Had cataracts removed in 2005 in 2009 developed strange vison probems- in the am after sleeping soundly
and longer than usual my vison first starts out with wavy lines. 1 hour later gets alittle better. Can not focus
to read newspaper. I must guide my finger one letter at a time to read. Can see distance but looking at a
person's face I see half of their face. When this first started I had double vision. I would see two of whatever
I was looking at. In the car looking straight out windshield I see haziness but looking sideways out car door
window it is not hazy. Can not watch tv. Eyes seem to be cloudy. Have seen doctors , had so many tests
but no one can come up with an answer. Help   Thank you  Aubrey2009

Thank you for your response. I am so frustrated I have seen so many doctors
They tell me my eyes are very healthy and the only thing they have found is
my optic nerve to be pale in color. I am 80 years old my eyes were fine until
2 weeks prior to this eye problem coming on I had the "flu"  and vomited very
hard for several hours. I felt as though my eyes and the top of my head was
coming off. It was so violent that for weeks after my chest was sore. I have
always been very healthy and this was the first time I had ever had the flu.
I did not need glasses either. I have an appointment with a doctor at Johns
Hopkins on Wed. and will ask to be sent to the type of doctor you recommended.
It just seems to me that 2 weeks before my eyes started this problem I was so
ill that maybe that has something to do with it. When I tell my doctors they seem
to just dismiss that.

Thank you
