sun exposure after pupil dilation ?

I went through a routine pupil dilation exam today as i suffer from floaters and flashes. i used sunglasses to come back to my college from the nearby hospital, but didnt use sunglasses as i moved between a couple of departments, i felt extreme discomfort and was photophobic during that time, with my eye lids almost closing. the whole episode of sun exposure without sunglasses would have been around 15 minutes or so may be. now i am worried that did the sun damage my eyes during that period or not. what should i do ??

Hi, I had a similar experience 4 days ago, i went for a eye examination and my pupils were dilated, i haven't used sun glasses while coming out and going home, i felt sensitive to light, i called up the hospital and they said exposure to light only causes discomfort but they insisted me to use sunglasses. I also wrote a post on this forum about the same and the doctors here assured no damage.
