swollen cornea

On January 15th, I had cateract surgery on my right eye.  I have a had a cloudy eye since then, with very little imporvement.  In fact, almost none at all.  I ahve take drops that the opthamolgist prescribed/  He id say it would take some time to correct or he mentioned something about going in and scraping the conre...or if it doesn't get better, I mite need a cornea transplant.

Hey!  My grandmother had the exact same thing happen.  How long did it take for the swelling to go away and your vision to get clearer?  She had her surgery almost 3 weeks ago and the doctor said her cateract was VERY Hard and that he had to use extra laser which caused the cornea to swell.  We are starting to get concerned and he said if it is not much better by next week he is going to refer her to a cornea specialist.  Please let me know more about your experience.  She is completely blind in her other eye (From complications due to cateract surgery 12 years ago) and really needs to be able to see better out of this other eye.  She says everything looks like it is foggy and she can't read anything or see much at all!  Thanks!
