swollen upper eye lid?!?!

Well I went to the doctor a few days ago because i had a fever and my throat was sore. She asked me if my ears hurt and i told her a little bit. Well now my left ear is filled with fluid and i am having trouble hearing out of that ear and then yesterday i woke up and my right upper eye lid was dropping on the far corner a little bit and it was sore to the touch. Well this morning I woke up and its noticably more swollen and it is sore when i blink and to the touch. I don't know if these are both because i was sick, but it is very painful and i dont know what to do, i can't afford the ER and no one is open because it is sunday!!

Hello alb624  These may be related as some of the virus that cause colds, sorethroat and URI may also cause an eye infection. You can leave your contact lens out and use warm compresses to the closed lids every hour for about 5 minuntes per episode. If you see no improvement tomorrow I would suggest you see your family doctor or an eye physician (ophthalmologist Eye MD).
