Those are two possibilities. It is also possible that you had a TIA or transient ischemic attack which is like a stroke that began but stopped and left no permanant effect. I would definitely have this looked into immediately and would not make any assumptions that it was just a migraine. You should see your primary care doctor and an ophthalmologist right away and if any symptoms occur again, go to the emergency room right away. A friend of ours (about 45) just had similar symptoms and was found to have a small stroke and is still in the hospital undergoing tests.
