treatment for solar retinopathy

Hi,
I am 22 years old male. I have made some 6-7 visits to eye specialists since the age of 10. I have lost my reports,so I don't know what exactly was the name of disease but it looks it is Solar Retinopathy. Anyways let me explain.
I have 6/60 in my right eye and like 60/65 in left, that is how one of the doctors wrote. I was told that I had a eye scar on macula, so everything I see with only using my right weak eye is vague. They asked me and I confirmed that I had tried to watch a solar eclipse when I was a child of about 8-9 years. I used x-rays image as I thought that it could be un harmful but I also saw the sun with naked eyes. I didn't realize immediately but sometime afterwards that I cannot see with my right eye. The doctors told me that they don't have any cure for this but maybe in future something is possible. But when I visited one of those doctor again after a gap of 10 years (first I checked with him at the age of 10) , he said it can NEVER be treated and there is NO hope. And I should stop going to eye doctors.
There has been no improvement in my right eye's vision in all these 12-13 years.
My right eye is practically useless right now. Also my left eye has short-sightedness since 2 years but that I has resolved with using glasses (with zero correction on the right eye) .

So, I just want to ask you people that what should I do? Is there any treatment possible?

Thanks for your time :-)

If the diagnosis is accurate, there is currently no treatment available for solar retinopathy based on my knowledge.  However, I don't think that means you should not see an eye doctor on a yearly basis.  If you want the definitive answer, I would advise seeing a retina specialist since they can determine if there is anything that can be treated (fluid accumulation or irregular blood vessels) although if it is just scarred tissue, the options would be very limited.
