unknown eyelid/eyeball swelling

Hi I'm a 34 yr old female with a hx of ankylosying spondylitis and recurrent uvietis. I am 19 weeks pregnant. I had an episode of uvietis during my 6th week of pregnancy. I had to take pred forte eye drops  hourly. I did that for about 4 weeks but there wasn't improvement. I then took prednisone 30mg orally in addition to hourly drops. I then noticed that my eye was puffy and changed shape. I tapered off all the medicines but my eye swelling did not improve. My eye is droopy and swollen from the top. The dr doesn't have an answer and my obgyn said it could be from pregnancy responding to the medications. I'm very depressed that my eye has changed in shape and I look different. Is this a complication of pred forte ? I hope someone can shed some light. Thanks

You need another opinion from an eye doctor. I agree you should seek out a large medical teaching facility.

You have a lot going on between pregnancy, eye issues, and medication.  Do you live near a medical school that has an opthamology department?  That may be your best bet for a comprehensive consultation.  Best wishes.
