I would get a second opinion. The first lens may be over-powered for your left eye, and so you are now myopic (near-sighted). Before any YAG laser capsulotomy is done, you need to discuss the possible need for explantation of the first lens and replacing it with another implant. This is always safer and easier if it is done before the capsule is opened with the YAG laser.
You could check the American Academy of Ophthalmology or the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery web sites: AAO.org, and ASCRS.org respectively. You should be able to find a doctor there for a second opinion.
I was told by the dr that, it is all because my eye has not accepted the lens they way that it should have. I have a Autoimmune disorder so I was told that I am healing at a slower rate than usual.
My left eye( the first eye), I can see the outside of the lens pull out when I read. This really bothers me, it is not just a shadow of the lens because it only happens when I attempt to read. I don't remember the dr taking new measurements of my left eye before surgery like he did with the right... I am a little hesitant to go thru this again, but will make a 2nd opinion appointment. I live in Tucson Arizona & don't have a lot of options, we are a small big town.
