I cannot make any specific recommendations without evaluation. You physician may suggest anti-inflammatories if there are no medical contraindications.
Prescription medications for acute episdoes would include prescription anti-inflammatories (i.e. Indocin) or colchicine.
Medication like allopurinol can be considered to prevent future episodes.

I dont think so but Gout can be extremely painful she needs to see a doctor and get treated for it.
