Blood Test Results

Hi Doctor,

For the past 6 months, i have had a tightness in my upper abdomen and what feels like tension, but also a little pressure. I have had ct scans, ultrasounds, etc, and nothing comes back.

I am convinced I have Cancer. My neutrophil counts have been slightly high for a few months now. I had blood drawn a couple weeks ago, and here were the results. Can you please help me analyze these? Are there any indicators that would make one believe I have cancer? I have included the normal ranges for the lab I went to.

Thanks!

Doctor,

I have been tested for Mono, and it was negative. The only thing that I have is an ANA test that came back positive 1:80 with a Nucleoar pattern. I also had a SED rate, which was negative with a value of 1.

Being 25, is it likely I have cancer or a deadly disease?

Hi there,
I am sorry that I missed your question and have taken so long to get back to you.

Atypical lymphoicytes can be seen in some kinds of cancer (eg leukemia/lymphoma), but they are also seen in various kinds of viral illness, such as Infectious mononucleosis (caused by a virus EBV), other viral and bacterial infections, and vaccination; certian drugs can also lead to atypical lymphocytes.  It seems that you have had some pretty extensive testing, so I would try not to let your anxiety get the best of you.  I would suggest talking to your physician about maybe being tested for mono if this hasn't already been done.  Follow up with your personal physician is important and necessary.

hope you are feeling better.
