2 days past IUI and having cramping and wierd things.....help!

I have asked a couple people in the thread but thought I would put it on the board for everyone to see.....I am three days past my first IUI and have some uterine cramping and also quite a bit of twinges in ovaries....I was on Clomid 100mg and Novarel trigger.  The major question I have is.....I also have some discharge that I NEVER have.  Kind of white and quite a bit of it....maybe a twinge of yellow.  I never have that!  Any insight?  Is this normal after IUI?  I don't think it could be a symptom since implantation hasn't occured yet (because I know it will...I am staying positive!)  but wondering if it could be something going on in there?  Thank you in advance for your insight!

Hi Ladies!
Ok so my first IUI didn't work. :(  But I had another one done on April 13th and 14th.  Compared to last month I didn't have any cramps this time only around that saturday after the IUI and Sunday too.  They went away and today April 24th I've been having some cramps and i've been having a lot of discharge.  I'm trying to keep hopeful again.  I'll be going back for blood test to find out if i am pregnant of not on the 29th.  Any insight?  Should i be worried?

Hi Ladies,

I need some insight please!! Ok so i had my IUI on March 13th and 14th, so this Sunday is going to be two weeks. I will be going in on Sunday the 28th for the blood work to find out if our first IUI worked.  My concern is.....I've been cramping on and off throughout these past two weeks.  I'm getting very depressed thinking that I'm not pregnant and I'm just getting ready for my period.  Does anyone have and insight on this?
Thanks again!!

I had my second IUI cycle last Tuesday, first one was BFN with Follistim and Ovidrel.  I am now 8dpo and am extremely crampy in my lower abdomen.  I'm not sure if it's from having 4 mature follicles when they were released (one over 20mm) or from the Prometrium (progesterone)supplements I've been taking.  This is a frustraing process, I don't go for my blood test until next Tuesday.  I am praying for a BFP.

I had my first IUI today and it was horrible, it makes me not want to continue this process. First the nurse had such a hard time finding my cervix. Then I get home and I m so tired and in pain. A liitle more than 3 hours and I have severe cramps can barely walk, then there is the lower abdominal muscle spasms. I really hope this works the first time around. I just want to than you all that I am reasured that I am not alone.

wow! sounds like clomid is working great for you!   femara is supposed to be a little better for endo patients, so thats why we did that, but i might switch for one month!  humm.. my RE is a little afraid of injecatables developing too many follies in me since i'm younger (27) but we'll be discussing that next month sounds like.. so we'll see!!!   well good luck and keep us updated!!!! :)

I use novarel as a trigger...good to know it's a good one!  I hope next month works for you.  Thank God he did that u/s...I have heard a lot of RE's doing that, but I wonder what makes them think to do them, ya know?  Intuition?  I know they injections give you lots of follicles.  I had four last month all around18-25 on 100 mg of Clomid, but I know everyone is different.  Man, this 2ww is dragging.  I mean, it has only been four days!

Let me know what you are doing for next month, I am anxious to see!

I know i was so not happy about it!!!  It was our first month in a while that we had some hope! to have it all come crushing down the next day learning that it didn't release!  I was kinda in shock that my RE wanted to do that ultrasound, I have never heard of that before either! but glad he did!  we BD'd just in case for that week afterwards, but RE didn't seem like there was a chance!!     So AF should be here the end of next week or so, then not sure i think i'm doing femara, with a novarel injection (its supposed to be stronger than ovidrel they said) and another IUI,, if it doesnt' release again, its prob due to my endo so we'll prob have to look into IVF!    I am wandering though If I should try something that will give me more follies than femara (which typically gives only one or two) to have a better chance?   Good luck to yall! : )

god, I'm so sorry about your BFN...it's bad at the best of times but when you've tested positive first off, that is just so so cruel. So much SSBD for next time round :)

No, on wednesday 3/20 was my 12DPIUI.  I tested and i got BFP.  So excited and so happy.  I have one extra HPT and i tested it.  It was BFN.  it's crushed me and i called my doctor to have a blood test.  Well, blood test come back negative.

I stared my AF this tuesday (3/25).  on clomid 150mg and follistim 75IU now.  Hopefully I will do IUI#2 sometimes in next week or week after that.

Take care

I take 200mg of a progesterone capusule (you can take it orally or vaginally, my RE recommended vaginally-ick)  once a day at night -makes you soo sleepy! I have known low progesterone with one chem preg (and endo)
Well my RE did an post IUI ultrasound (48 hours after trigger) and my follie went from 22mm to 25mm 48 hours later with a trigger - so it should have released!  I also had a natural LH surge when it was 22mm!    So it might turn into a cyst or rupture late.. who knows! i was SOOO disappointed though, it was our first IUI and Dh's numbers (except morphology) looked the best they have ever looked and it was all a waste!  glad my RE did an ultrasound though so we knew  it didnt' work!  GOOD LUCK to all of yall and keep me updated!: )

Baby Blue-  Thank you for your insight!  I just needed reassured!

SamLB-  I read last night on one fertility office's website that implantation occurs 5-6 days after IUI.  But then I read that it can occur 6-10 days (which is like normal after ovulation) so who knows!  Just remember, if you still have cramping and twinges, it may not be AF...think positive!

bny807- day 5 cramping?  Possibly implantation?  Let's hope!  I am not doing the suppositories...I don't know what those do!  I know there are a lot of women that do though!  So your follie didn't rupture?  Did you only have one?  How do you know it didn't and if it didn't rupture and didn't release and egg, are they sure the IUI will work?  I am just confused!!

hello!   I am 9 dpIUI and never got cramping the first several days after the IUI, not until day 5 i guess.. but i'm thinking maybe its the progesterone suppositories, its like mild AF cramps! anyone else on progesterone after their IUI?  I wander if this could be the reason, for me it can't be implantation, since my follie didn't rupture (release the egg)  but deifntey having cramps which is not normal, this is my first IUI..   GOOD LUCK To all of yall! keep me updated : !)

My last IUI was exactly last week...and I still have uterus cramps and ovary twinges...glad to hear it's normal (although now I'm7dpIUI I'm terrified that the carmping is now AF about to show...fingers crossed she stays away for all of us). babyblue - are you pg? 1 question - is it true that implantation takes place  from 6 to 10 days pIUI?? Thanks ladies! and plenty of SSBD!!

It's normal specially you do IUI.  Because the doctor inserted inside your uterus to deliver sperms and its opened the cervix so that's why.  I have cramp and weird things for at least a week after IUI.  some discharge, no smelling or itching.  That's normal and don't worry too much.  Wait for implantation and enjoy your 9 journey months pregnancy

SSBD
