2nd IUI
Hello everyone! I am starting my 2nd cycle of IUI with injectables. I am trying to stay positive. Any success stories or advice for IUI? Please let me know. :)
I use Gonal F Menopur which is for follicl development and to help the eggs mature I also use the Ovidril injection which kicks starts ovulation. I know they can be expensive but thank God for HAP because I only pay a $35.00 copay for each cycle.
Question for those of who have done injectibles, what are the different types (there are really several mentioned and i wander how each one is different.) And what are their costs?
I am with you...I only have my right tube due to an eptopic preg on the left...for months on clomid ll my follies would produce on the left....I had my 2ndiui on 9.20 and will be testing soon...as of yet I have no signs of pregnancy....But good luck to you!

We too tried Femara it is alot better than clomid to me...less side affects and it does not thin out your cervical area as much...Good luck and keep us posted!

Hello - new here - We have been ttc for 3 years. We have a 3 1/2 year old but he wants a baby sister - so pressure on. I'm on my 4th month of femara this month she doubled the dose to 5mg a day d3-d7. Femara does seem to keep my uterus lining thick and no change to cm - Ultrasound on d14 showed 2 good follies - 19 and 21 and hcg shot on d15 and iui yesterday on d16 - so we are praying - just so ready for something to happen... All is well 1 more wk for me to test my RE said wait 18 days b4 testing thats going to kill me no simgs of anything right now...no sore boobs not tired..etc...is it to soon for me?
Hello! Thanks for the reply. I am on my 2nd IUI & also taking Femara. You are the first person I know to also take Femara. Clomid was not successful for me, it created bad cervical mucus. Anyway, I am on Femara for Cd 2-6 & then injectables (Bravelle) CD 7-10. Last month, I had 2 wonderful big follicles. I think they have found my "right recipe" so it's just a matter of everything else aligning. Let me know how your month goes. :)
HI, I am on my first IUI cycle and have the IUI tomorrow. I started on follastim with a HCG trigger and I have talked to so many people on here who got a BFP with their injectables and IUI. - First time as well.
(to mom of three) - My RE says injectables have much higher success rates than clomid, (and multiples as you said) but they're really good with them and taper the doses to your needs. The only bummer is scans and bloodwork every 2 days, even at weekends. - For us, the RE knew we could afford it as we have a good plan, so he put me straight on them.
Also, I only have one tube so need all the help I can get. However, my best looking follies (2) are on my left (no tube) and just a regular solo on my right - so we'll see.
anyway, I was crazy tonight with my hubby and shouted - if you don't wanna do this tomorrow - I certainly won't be bothered! - I think the tension is just palpable.

Hi I'm on my 2nd round of injections and iui. the reason why i'm doing injectables is because i didn't have a reaction with clomid. so my doctor ruled clomid out. i'm hoping for a bfp with this cycle!!!
I am on my second cycle of iui but using injectables this cycle....good luck to all able to test on 10/4 AF not due til 10/7

For those of you who are doing injectibles, did clomid with IUI not work for you? Did you try clomid first?
Meech, the injectibles are stronger I think, they increase your chances slightly. But they also pose the "risk" (LOL) of multiples a little more often than clomid.

I'll be taking my second set of injectibles with IVF. My first IVF failed..just found out last week. I'm trying to find the postive path, and stay determined, it's really hard some days.

Hi, I will be going in for my 2nd IUI and have been taking Femara. What injectables are you taking? I'm wondering if I should talk with the RE to see if I should do injectables versus Femara. Can you provide more info about the injectables? Thanks!
