2ww Hot/Cold Nights

Has anyone had a night of pure HELL...hot then cold then hot then cold....I don't get it. I also have this injection site that is swollen....can anyone make a suggestion on how to fix that?

I am on day 6 of my 2ww - IVF fet. THis is my second cycle and i don't remeber any of this on my first cycle.

thanks for the info ladies. I will try that. Since i'm doing IUI i will start eating pineapple on the day of my IUI for a week. :)

I ate pineaple right after egg retrieve, had day 3 transfer and ate another 2 days then stop.  It would help implatation.....but don't eat more than a week or on pregnancy that may cause the miscariage.  I got 3 BFP on 4 IVF cycles.  Keep your feet warm with shocks and drink alot of water/soup

but i had read that it may cause uterine contractions.... hmmm ... must do more reading... the internet can be so frustrating at times!

Good list...however you need the pineapples and walnuts when you do your transfer. It creates a lot of sticky stuff that is great for implantation. Eat as much of it as you can after transfer, with every meal if possible. I remember eat I pineapple every two days and hand full of walnuts to go along with it. Make sure you eat the core of the pineapple because that is the main part of it.

cool, so i've started the lupron/menaupur this monday.... and.....  no caffeine, no pineapple, no booze, no cheese (not sure about that one, is it no cheese or no dairy?), DHEA, aspirin, rasberry root tea, vitamins... what else am i missing?  :)

Sorry to hear about the BFN.  Please don't give up hope. I did 2 cycles of ivf and decided to keep going until I got pregnant. As for the first cycle I didn't prepare my body as i did on my sec. cycle. Sec. cycle i did acupuncture twice a my acupunturist suggest giving up milk, cheese, sugar and caffiene. I drink 8 or more glasses of alkaline water so that i could get my bodys ph balanced, eat more greens and ground provisions.
As for the baby aspirin i was put on it by my doctor with all the other medicines for my ivf cycle and am still on it.  I hope this helps!!!  I hope no one gives up!!! Prepare the soil before you sow seeds.

sorry, i was all sad and didn't want to go online... wednesday night i started getting some cramps... still went to the doc's thursday, it was a BFN :(  AF came yesterday.

suhana2011: sorry to hear.. better luck next time for both of us!!! we gotta keep trying! i keep reading all kinds of articles and forums, it's getting so confusing, what to eat, what not to eat, what to drink, what not to, etc... have you read anything about baby aspirin helping for implantation? I considering taking some next time. thinking of going right into another cycle next week....

Congrats to you, I love hearing the positives it gives everyone hope. I find out my result on Tuesday.  This is my first try at ivf 5day blasts with a donor in Russia.  The wait is just the worst thing I've gone through.  I have 3 hpt's sitting in the drawer I'm too afraid to do.  The worst is as in previous pregnancies my tummy has popped out, I look very pregnant, but don't kmow whether this is just the hormones.  I'm quite petite so it's very noticeable.  I too had accupunctue, gave up caffeine two years ago and drink 2.5l of water a day, which was all recommended to me. The first 3 days after transfer I got cramp like period pains, which stopped but started again yesterday, but I walked more than I had done all week.  I'm having a scan on Tuesday not a blood test, which I'm not sure is better or worse.  It's driving me crazy.  Best of luck everyone, we all deserve this. I've been reading up a lot on this forum about acupuncture and IVF so definitely going try that for the next cycle. In addition I've realized they were a few things I could have done to up my chances of success with IVF like give up caffience, eat a healthier diet, be less stressed and so on. DH and I are planning to try with IVF in a few months again. Want to prepare my body well for the process.. Congratulations on your BFP!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you :)

I am sorry to hear that you got a BFN...Do't give up hope. Have you tried accupunture? I did on my second cycle and drank alkaline water too. And went to the doctor today and found out that i got a BFP!!! I was placed on more prog/estro to support my pregnancy. I hope you try again and keep the faith.

My bloodtest came in BFN.  Spoke to my doctor today and she asked me to do an HPT tomorrow morning. Still on the meds till she advices otherwise. Best of liuck for your test. SSBD and praying you get your BFP !!

I am sorry to hear that you got a BFN... it may be too early and the blood test is what really counts. I am so nervous too...I have been have in second guesses about if I should go to the doctor or not because I am so scared to hear another BFN ...I was told to be cautiously optimistic and I am trying. It is nerve racking.
I almost gave in too and did a HPT but i decided that i would not be able to live with it.
I hope we three and everyone else on this 2ww get our BFP....SBD to all.

I am soooooooooo nervous to go tomorrow. But I will let you guys know.

good luck tomorrow Suhana! I'm so nervous.... i broke down on 10dpiui and did a cheap HPT and it was BFN.... so I've decided it was too early to tell and to ignore it and i've been good since then and not driven myself crazy with more HPT... but i really want to go buy one now.....!!!!

this is my second cycle of ivf.   i got a bfn on the first one. i had a fet and keeping my fingers toes and my hair strands crossed. this is the longest 2ww ever. i have been reading, cocheting, walks in the park to keep my sanity....my testing is on friday. good luck to both of you for thursday....sending baby dust and bfp for all on their 2ww! ;o))))

I've been feeling hungry every hour so I always find myself eating or snacking on something a lot these days. Besides the sweating, I've been feeling tired and been experiencing cramps almost every day now.Hope we both get our BFPs on thursday.

just curious, what other symptoms have you been having? I haven't had much except sweating at night, and my bbs are sore... i'm eating a lot, but i usually do when i'm stressed so i'm not sure it's an indicator!

I know those injections can be really painful. Some of mine have been so bad that I've been crying on a few nights unable to turn sides.But it's all worth it for that BFP. I am almost through with my 2ww. It has been the longest 2 weeks of my life. Time has never been so slow. I am due to test on thursday. When are you due to test? Is this your 1st IVF?
