3 year of TTC... and my time is almost up

I’m 32 years old and my husband and I have been TTC for 3 years with no success.  My cycles are all over the calendar, I can jump from 28, to 45, to 35 to 30 days.  I have been on Clomid for 6 months and have been ovulating around 17-22 days.  I have had a HSG and Laparoscopic surgery which all came back normal.  My husband has been tested and he’s good.  I have taken dramatic steps to change my diet which includes cutting out refined white flour, caffeine, sugar and preservatives.  I have tried Chinese herbalists, acupuncture, taking my BBT every morning, ovulation kits, vitamins, and Chiropractors.  I’m at my wits end and March we have decided to call it quits.   Please Help!  How can I improve my chances?

I am sorry for all of your frustration and can really relate to it. There are many more things that can and should be checked as well. Above postings as well as checking for hostile cm and clotting disorders, etc.

I just turned 42 and have been ttc since my late teens. I gave up around the age of 38 and got pg for the 1st time at 40. I did mc, but not due to age related issues, just over exertion.

There is still lots of hope for you :)

well the good news is you do ovulate...even if it was with clomid....and you had the hsg test and your tubes arent blocked....and your husbands sperm isnt an issue. so i would recomment seeing an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) ASAP. i am pretty sure most doctors dont like you to stay on clomid longer then 6 months...so a specialist should be the next step.... maybe injectibles and IUI are your next option...you should call your insurance to find out your coverage...but i would definately not waste anymore time with an OBGYN....and go straight to a specialist.
my story in short...i never bled or ovulated...clomid never worked for me...i was on it a few months. this past month i started follistim injectibles wiht ovidrel shot and IUI...and i got pregnant...so there is hope. try to stay positive ....and most likely the RE will do additional test your OBGYN hasnt...good luck and keep us posted!!!!

I really do feel for your situation, I myself have been trying for four years- I do have one son, and am truely blessed to have him but it is still incredibly frustrating not being able to get pregnant again.  Are you working with an RE or with and OB?  Have they done the dye test to make sure that your tubes are open?  Have they checked your FSH levels?  Is it possible to move onto injectable medications and do an IUI?  Is something like IVF an option for you?  Sorry for so many questions but I'm just wondering what kind of testing you have had done to try to find out why you are having infertility issues.  I wish you all the best of luck!
