What are trigger shots? What do you wish you knew before going into IUI? Anything your doctor forgot to tell you or you didn't hink to ask? What is 2ww? Sorry I am so new to all this.

No more. Today, I woke up, logged onto this forum, and read your post. What a WONDERFUL way to start my day!!! Again, I cried because I felt (and still do) so hopeful!!! I', not really religious (more spiritual), but I went to church today to pray. Well, I was surrounded by babies...they were all there to get baptized!!! Hhmmm...another sign??? May I ask your age, fsh level, and how IUI became your path? How far along are you? How very exciting!!! I am reading the book "The Secret" and it talks about how our thoughts become things. We need to be clear about what we want. Ask. Believe. Receive. I am on the second step right now. I appreciate your prayers and baby dust! I am so grateful for this forum. Just about all my friends have babies and I just don't think they would understand. Many thanks for your support. How many rounds of IUI did you try? Were you on clomid or injectables? What was the total cost (if you don't mind my asking)? My anxiety is better. i weaned of of Ativan a few months ago, so I am relying on relaxation and meditation music, positive thinking, and the fact that I know it will pass. If we need to go with option B (FET), then so be it. I have so much love to give and my baby will never be without it. It's strange. I love my baby so much that I can see it, feel it. My heart breaks for you, I know exactly what your going through, and you need to just follow your heart. Even if it is NOT going to be your genetics, you HAVE to do it... you will love it just the same and you will carry it as if your own..... DONT ever give up.... miracles happen, I am proof of that.... I am so thankful and in disbelief still...everyday... We were so close to using donor sperm and we checked my husbands sperm one last time and it was miraculously good enough for IUI!! You really need to try and remain calm... if you feel your anxiety kicking in put on earphones with "nature sounds" like sounds of the ocean and wind blowing through trees and close your eyes.... I suffer from anxiety too and that's what I did with the cycle to keep myself calm....apparently it worked....
Please try to stay positive..... and will be sending prayers and baby dust your way!!

I meant a baby without our genetics makes me a little sad. It is such a new concept to me. Options 2 and 3 are out of the question because of the financial aspect.

I am looking for new friends and extra support. I am 40 years old, trying for my first baby, with a fsh of 16.7. I got pregnant naturally @ 38, wasn't even trying. Miscarried. Since the miscarriage (Nov 2009), I had problems bouncing back both physically and emtionally. I got my period once since the D and C, then it did not come back for 4.5 months. Also in that time, I had gallstones and was feeling such awful. I had my gallbladder removed in March 2011. I also started having anxiety/panic attacks. So, a year and a half later, I feel fantasitc. I cut out drinking, eating better, lost 24 lbs. I am so focused on happiness and healthiness. In short, I am ready to try again for my baby. Our RE told me my estrogen is 65, which is good. My fsh is 16.7. The .7 puts me in the severe range. Not good. Our RE gave us 4 options. 1) OI/IUI - 5% chance of working @ $500-$1,000 2) IVF w own eggs - 15-20% chance @ $10,000-$12,000 3) IVF w donor eggs - 75% chance @  $15,000-$20,000 4) FET w donor embryos - 50-70% chance @ $4,000-$5,000. I WAS DEVASTATED!!! I felt like I missed the baby boat. My yearning for a baby of my own (I work as a nanny) didn't kick in until I lost my baby. That yearning has grown so much that I cry, cry, cry. I am so happy when I hear that someone is pregnant b/c I understand what a gift that it and what it would mean to me. Since my news, I just learned that an acquantance is pregnant and I cried, cried, cried. My heart sank and I felt so depressed. When I read "Prayin4miracle's" post, I cried, cried, cried b/c I felt hopeful again!!! I cannot picture my life without a baby. I just can't.  I can feel my baby in my bones. I feel like my baby is already waiting for me and I need to jump on my path. I need to move, move, move!!! It's been 3 days since my news and I am determined to stay positive. This WILL happen. We are going forward with the IUI. Our plan B is option 4, but quite honestly, it makes that our baby will not have our genetics. It's a new concept to me, but I am becoming more open to it. I would love to connect with all of you AMAZING women!!! I want to hear your stories. Thank you for letting me share mine. This is just the beginning of the ride of my life!!! Please, I would be so incredibly grateful for any support that can be offered. In closing, I would like to say that I keep seeing signs EVERYWHERE!!! Does anyone else believe in signs???

I got my BFP today!!! Blood work also confirmed it, Beta 242 / progesteron 36!! Doc said I am definatly pregnant!!!

I've been checking in each day and am thinking baby thoughts for you. I'm looking forward to a BFP for you in the next couple of days. I don't know how you can stand it but at the same time, I certainly understand. Keep me posted.

So i haven't started but I haven't tested either..... I could test yesterday but didn't.... boobs hurt pretty bad, usually before AF starts they stop hurting and then I know I am about to start, so I don't know if the bravelle and HCG shot has changed things in body.... even thou it should be out of my system now.....

I afraid to test and get that BFN, this way I hold on to HOPE a little longer......

Well, my beta was negative.  I am not surprised, but bummed.  I really was praying with 4 follies, this would be the cycle.  I do plan to do IVF is August, but it will be very expensive.  My parents are going to help us pay for it.

Oh man... did you test too early?

I'm really sorry, i truly hope your Beta is positive. Sleepiness is a good sign.

I feel fine, been bloated on and off, boobs are hurting sum, but it's no different from the last cycle...the only thing that was different was the distictive pain I got on Monday...but that's it.... i told my husband i don't feel like i am pregnant and I don't know if we should really continue on with this journey...

LOL.... I can test on Sunday!! I have been very bloated today... don't know if just gas or what but my husband was shocked to see how distended my belly was when I got home ;/ Hoping it's good news!!
Had a little more cramping today too..... I dunno... I don't want to read too much into it...

Progesterone is good, they do want it around 15 when you get a positive beta so you are just about there.
I had a headache late afternoon that did not want to go away! Felt a sharp pain on my right for a few minutes, but not much more.

My progesterone came back at 14.6 RE said that was very good...my last two progesterones last two cycles were 9 .... i don't know what this means, besides i ovulated.

I also got severe sharp pains on both sides tonight, lasted about an hour, now i'm fine, even thou I feel a mild pinch here and there now...pretty scary,, made me feel sick.

What do you think? How are you feeling?

My RE office doesn't do any tests during the 2ww. Beta is Thursday and I feel like it is so far away.  I am still hoping for good news, but don't seem to have any real symptoms yet.  Good luck!

I am doing pretty good with the cramping, not so bad this cycle, my boobs starting hurting a tad today...not severe by any means and have a pretty bad headache today but other than that no symptoms!!!  Going for my LH tomorrow so i'll let you know how that goes, have you done your LH yet?

I have had a little cramping here and there, but nothing major. I am taking progesterone this cycle.  No feel much yet, but hoping this is the cycle I get good news!!!
