5 IUI's and luteal phase spotting

Hi - It's been quite a while since I posted - this roller coaster ride is getting too hard and emotional and I have a hard time going on this site...
I am desperate that someone out there might be able to help me though... I have been to an RE for about 1 1/2 years, have now had 5 IUI's, the last one with injectibles and the IUI done twice.  I have/had endometriosis and had a lap a little over a year ago.  I don't think this IUI worked because I'm already spotting (since about 7 dpo).  I know that my progesterone levels aren't low and I even take progesterone suppliments vaginally 3X per day just for good measure.   I don't know if it's the spotting that is causing the IUIs not to work or if they aren't working and that's why I'm spotting... Any suggestions as to why the spotting is happening and how I can stop it and/or any other insight???
thanks :)

Did you spot this cycle when you got pregnant?

I was so excited when I started reading your post that you are pregnant, but then (obviously) I'm really really sorry that it's not growing.  SInce you have all the symptoms still, is it at all possible that the u/s was wrong???  I will keep yo uin my thoughts...

oh yea, i've had more than one doctor that isnt' concerned at all about spotting, while knowing that we are trying to conceive! plus i've read tons of stories online (thank goodness for the internet, well sometimes!) of people getting preg with spotting!

well i'm actually currently techincally pregnant... 7 weeks 4 days, however we went in for our ultrasound on 6 weeks 2 days and the baby had stopped developing : (    it was only measuring 4 weks and no HB we are just devastated.. so we are just waiting to miscarry, meanwhile i have super strong preg symptoms - super sore bb's, horrid morning sickness (well all day sickness!) can't keep ANYTHING down!, headaches and peeing all the time... ughh.. so we go back for another ultrasound tomorrow to see what the heck is going on in there! i am thankful that we did get pregnant, it was our first time! :  )
GOOD LUCK to you! i hope its implantation! :)

OOO nice 7 eggs!!! thats wonderful!!!   well originally my dr's weren't concerned at all about my spotting, just said that a lot of women have that as their normal cycles, and nothing is wrong with that.. but of course i still didnt' like it! endo patients have a higher rate of premenstrual spotting though.. well they told me time and time agian it would not interfere with implantation and getting preggo so I'm praying for you that AT LEAST one of those eggies stuck! : )   GOOD LUCK! keep us updated!: )

The spotting has been going on for about 3 years that I can remember.
Thanks for the advice about endometrioma.  I'm going to look that up and talk to my RE about it.  They do u/s every month, but I haven't heard that term used, so I'm not sure if they are looking out for that.
As for fibroids-  I had a hysterosonogram and a D&C and I only had a very small one.  Even after removing that...still spotting.  The doctors are stumped!  They refer to be as "the queen of spotting!"  Not very humerous to me.  :)
Well, I hope it's implantation bleeding, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.
Oh, and I was on Follistim.  Had lots of nice eggs from it - 7!!  Here's hoping even one of them took.

hello! sorry to hea that you are having to go through this! i it is such a frustrating process!  do you spot every single month this time of month?? or just this month (if its just this month then i'm praying that its implantation!!! : )    ) if its every month, i've been there, i had that for about a year.. and the ultrasound gave me the answer as to why..they found out that i also had endometriosis, but the ultrasound showed an endometrioma on one of my ovaries.. so lots of times the spotting is very common in endometriosis ( i take it youve been having ultrasounds since your doing IUI's and injectables?, so they've made sure you dont' have cysts??)   also if its everymonth they may need to do/repeat a hysterosonogram make sure that you dotn' have any fibroids or polyps...otherwise i'd just have them check your cd21 hormone levels just to make sure!    what injectables have you been on??   like i said i hope its implantation spotting since its the right timing at 7dpo! : )    and you won't have to go through this anymore!  keep us updated and good luck! : )
