6 weeks pregnant with FET but no symptoms

Hi everyone, I'm 6w1d pregnant with FET but rarely have symptoms, just a little bit of heartburn and bloated bladder. Is anyone there with the same experience?

I'm glad to hear the infection rate is so low!  Sigh of relieve!  I believe everything will be fine : )   That's awesome that you got preggers on your first FET... I think a lot of people think FET doesn't work, but you are living proof that it does : )   Keep me updated on what's happening ok?  How many embroys did they transfer? Is there a chance for mulitples?

The chance for the fetus to be infected is rare (0.5-2%) but it's still important. I'm going to see my RE on Friday and discuss this matter with him as well but my family doc (who's been treating me for c/pox) believes that since I got infected in very early in pregnancy (week 2  or 3), if the fetus was infected, I would have had m/c (still too early to be excited, I/m only 6.5 weeks). In the worst scenario, if the fetus is infected with varicella virus, it may develop "Congenital Varicella Syndrom", which results in serious birth defects su as blindness, retardation, .... We won't find out until 12 weeks. Then there will be a series of u/s followed by amniocentesis, which is most likely to determine any birth defects.
Oh by the way, to answer your question, this is my first FET and I don't have any more frozen embryos left.

Wow, Chicken Pox Suck!  I'm so sorry you had to suffer through those!  What happens if the baby was infected?  I'm sure you have nothing to worry about though.
I guess the build up is just like tissue that can build up in the uterus.  The doctor was so suprised but glad the build up was there... at least we had a reason that I miscarried.
You know it's funny because I got pregnant on my very first FET, and for some reason, now, I seem to doubt that I can get pregnant, it's like I forget I got pregnant the first time, I question it when I should be very very optimistic.  It goes to show you how your mind can play tricks on you on this emotional rollar coaster.  How many FET's did you do?
I go to my RE on Thursday, we'll see what he has to say.

I'm 40. and had 13 eggs retrieved. 9 embryos formed (all grade A). I had 3d5 transfer in the fresh cycle on Dec 7, 09. BFP on 17 but HCG low (only 10.7) but it was tripling every 48 hours. started bleeding and cramping on Dec 22.
This time we had all 4 embryos thawed and survived ( I think they were thawed for 24 hrs but can ask my RE). FET on Feb 17. HPT pos on 25. HCG test on Feb 27 was measured 97, 48 hrs 340, 48 hrs 835. First u/s on March 5 showed a single yolk ( 5 weeks preggo). Started developing rashes the next day. On March8 it was diagnosed CHICKEN POX ( imagine how devastated I was). They put me on Valtrex and Kefelx for a week. Fortunately, I did have no fever and recovered so fast. Am going to see family doc today to make sure that I'm no longer contagious then schedule a u/s appointment with my RE. I do pray every moment that my baby did not get infected. We won't find out until 12 weeks. I also need to have a consultation with a genetics doc.
By the way, according to  your dates, you m/ced in about 8 weeks?? and what do you mean by having a build up in your uterus?

Yeah, I would be interested in knowing what "gluing the embryo" is.   I did my FET on July 1st 2009, and Miscarried the 2nd week in August.   I had build up in my uterus that did not show up on the ultrasound(s).   Those few weeks were truly the Happiest time of my life!   How far along were you when you m/ced?
BTW... How many did they Transfer?
and one other question... how long did they let your little frosties thaw before transfer?

I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. My ivf with fresh embryos ended up with m/c too and this was my last FET. I'm very positive that your FET is going to work. ASK your RE about a procedure called "gluing the embryo" or something like that. My RE charged me $200 more for this process. I'll ask him in detail in next visit. How many weeks were you, when you m/ced?

I does make sense. I've done 6 iuis, 1 ivf, and 1 FET since Nov 2008 and my body must have already adjusted to these hormones fluctuations. I hope you also have an easy and smooth pregnancy.

I am in the same boat as you, 6 weeks today and not really feeling anything.  However, a good friend of mine also did IVF and said she had no symptoms and is now the proud mom of twin girls.  Her RE told her that it isn't unusual for women who go through fertility treatments not to have as many symptoms because your body is already use to all the hormones.

Thanks... and congratulations on your too! I feel relieved now. My RE thinks that every thing is ok and the reason that I barely have any symptoms is that in FET the ovaries are shut down which prevents body from responding to the pregnancy. But after two m/cs it's very hard to stay positive. I'll pray for both of our babies.

I did...and I now have an 11 1/2 week old baby girl!!! It wasn't a FET, but a fresh cycle. Prior to my IVF, I had two failed pregnancies (conceived naturally), and both times, I had lots of symptoms, so I thought I'd have even more after my IVF, with all the meds and all...but nope! Barely had any at all! My breasts weren't even that sore! I kept worrying that something was wrong, but all was well and I went on to have 9 fairly uneventful months ;-) Congratulations on your pregnancy!
