AGP - sisterhood of the traveling BFP's.

Well so far the BFP's have knocked on Lexima and Heather's doors. They planted two beautiful conifers in Lexima's garden and an unprecedented three in Heather's!  Jackson, Jen, Sam, Sasparilla and Fifi had a bug in their ear telling them to be ready because within the next two weeks the BFP's could come a knockin'.  They've tended to their gardens, planted some very promising bulbs and are just waiting for them to sprout.  Oh I hope they grow soon so the BFP's will see them and come their way.  Dee will be having her garden looked at today to see if it's ready for planting some promising bulbs.  So ladies sprinkle lots and lots of babydust on Dee's front porch so the BFP's will be very enticed to visit.  Magda has a prescreening visit with the BFP's on April 2nd, then a few days after that she'll be scheduling her appt. for them to take a look at her garden.  So, sprinkle some golden baby dust Magda's way too to encourage the BFP's in that direction.

Lisa, Miky, Helen and Mary are tending to their gardens.  We aren't quite ready to schedule a visit with the traveling BFP's yet.  Each of us have some tending to do so the soil is fertile enough to grow beautiful flowers that'll entice the BFP's to stop by our front porches.

Ashort's garden is under construction.  We are waiting for word when she'll be ready to start planting again.

In the meantime, continue doing the Baby Dance in your gardens, play some background music by the IUI's and meditate on the calm stillness of AF's absence. May the sun shine upon our gardens,  baby dust rain down on us all, and bring the BFP's to each and every one's  garden.

(Sorry this one was a bit lengthy.  I get on a roll sometimes)  lol.

Sam,
I'm so sorry about AF,I do not check the internet on Saturdays so I just found out.
What is the next step?
Are you staying with the same clinic?
Hugs,

thank you for all your encouraging words - the best of luck to you. Yeah, it sucks, but day 3 makes you start to be a bit more positive I guess (and stop crying!). Again, thanks to all of you...and SSBD ;)

Magda:  I hope all went well witht he retireval.  Can't wait for a full report

I just got back from my appointment.  Nothing earth shattering, they said I look good to start.  Will begin microdose Lupron tomorrow 2x per day, and add in 450 Follistim and 150 Menopur on Wed.  It feels good to be starting.

Helen, you're right behind me.  I am psyched about having a cycling buddy

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Lisa, I think you should just accept that everyone's quietly hoping that you'll just go ahead and start the new thread!  It's like being back in class and trying desperately to look as inconspicuous as possible, hoping the teacher won't pick you.
Accept it... you're the "New Thread Starter"
I DID have an idea but I totally forgot what it was!!!  Think the cyst-from-hell must have sucked all my ideas away!  tee hee... now I've got this idea in my head of hills and bumps and BFPs! (k... this early morning thing clearly doesn't work for me!!!)

J_A & Sam... sorry about the BFPs.
J_A... I was always worried about bouncy rides because they were an integral part of getting home from the last clinic but really, when you think about it, people get pregnant every day and they have no idea and they're in the gym and they're driving on bad roads and they're doing all sorts.  We tend to try to be extra cautious because of all we're going through but at the end of the day, it's unlikely that it was the bumpy ride.
However, I know it's hard but it's not over yet so hang in there.

Right ladies... I'm off for my retrieval in just a couple of minutes.
Catch you later.

I can't believe I JUST saw your post about the hills!!!  We were posting at the same time and I didn't scroll up until just now!   I am so sorry I didn't address your comments earlier!!

Oh, I feel like you are the one who is so supportive!!  I'm glad I can be of some support to you as well.   I feel that you all are close girlfriends of mine, and it feels natural to want to be here for you in any way I can.  I don't know how long this break of mine will be.  I'm sort of taking it one day at a time.

No problem at all about the hills.  I wish I could avoid them.  Thank you so much for your advise about the leg.  Really it's minor compared to what the members of AGP sisterhood are going through.  I'll be gentle with it, ice and warm it.  It'll be very thankful to you I'm sure for teaching me how to treat it right.  Thank you!

Have company at the moment.  So, if I don't see a new thread by tomorrow afternoon, I'll start one.

11DPIUI =BFN; but i'll keep testing anyway. Its weird, I have no sx of anything! No pg sx and no AF sx.

Meeting with a new RE on Monday - supposedly the best in Los Angeles. DH knows his family and he got us in very quickly. If this cycle doesnt work we are gonna talk about options. I will of course keep all of you posted.

Hmmm...new thread ideas...SPRING BREAK? sounds like some of us are on spring break or at least a break from ttc for now!

Oh Sam - i am so sorry. It just sucks doesnt it. I send you many cyber hugs and suggest some shopping or wine. I find the superficial things help.

Guys - we do need a  new thread but I am out of ideas. Anyone? Dont be shy now!

Sam,
I am sooo sorry....  AF is just so depressing.  Glad you are looking forward to the new cycle.  Will you be doing something different to get more follicles to develop?

Magda,
your cyst sounds like a pain in the ***.  I can't believe you may need a surgery within few weeks.  I do know that it's safe for pregnant women to have a surgery but of course one would hope you don't need it.  Can they do an aspiration instead when they drain the cyst out of the fluid and it basically shrinks?  That requires no drugs but supposed to be painful.

Lisa,
teaching does help and I am certainly very busy with final papers and final exams fast approaching.  I hope you are back on clomid in no time!

Mary,
I am holding my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.  Hoping for a promising and informative visit for you.

Dee,
glad you covered all possible O-times.  Better be safe than sorry.  I hope your egg gets lucky this coming week!

Ladies, thanks... I'm not going to say "aah... it's okay" because frankly it's not.  I find it mind boggling just how awful this cyst is.  Seriously.  It's just UN-believable.  However, looking forward to my anaesthesia tomorrow and will speak with the doctor about the cyst-from-hell and how it can be dealt with.
Mary, I've never heard of a nerve block but I'll ask for sure!
Fiona, not that I know for a fact that this doctor is any better than the last one but like I said the other day, I have started to feel quite a bit of confidence in him... I hope that will be the case for you and that this will work out for you.
Miky, hope you're doing okay.
You too Dee!!!
Lisa, hope your leg starts feeling better soon.  That can be so unpleasant.

Oh Sam, I am so very sorry.  BFN's S U C K!!!!!!  Big cyber hugs all the way to Italy for you darling!  Back to injectable.  Yes.  Get right back on that horse and go for it again.  Looking ahead always made me feel a little better.

Magda,  Oh my goodness what you are having to go through.  What horrible timing for this cyst to happen.  Boy, it's not enough that we fertility challenged women have to go through h e ll and high water to get a bfp, but then to be thrown stuff like cysts "down there".  It's just so unfair and maddening.  Dee is right though.  I'm sure the drs. have seen and dealt with this before and you are in capable hands.  But, in the meantime, geesh!

Fiona, Your RE sees patients just 2 days a week?  I so hope you are able to get squeezed in somewhere. Do they have a cancellation list you can be on in case someone cancels an appt and you can take their spot?  I got into my RE's office initially about a month early due to being on a cancellation list.

Helen,  I hope Thursday comes very quickly for you.  This process takes so long.  I don't know about you though, but teaching seems to help the time fly for me.  It just keeps me so busy and there are so many deadlines to meet, and markers for dates, i.e. mid-term, finals, that it gives me landmarks and it always amazes me how quickly they approach and how quickly the time goes.  Opposite of ttc, but that is why it helps the time pass for me.  I hope it's the same for you.

Sasparilla, how are you doing with your tooth?  I am very sorry about the bfn.   We all mourn for one another when this happens because we all know exactly how it feels.

mommyof3...also sorry about your bfn.   But, if you are a "mommy of 3" you're body certainly can do it, it's done it several times.  So, I'm confident it won't be long for you until your a mommy of 4.  Welcome to AGP.

Nikki, How are you?  I know it can seem overwhelming at times when you're new to AGP, lots happens here.  Haven't heard from you in while. Hope all is well.

Miky, waiting can be torterous.  Hope all is well with you as well.

OK.  Jen and Jackson, no pressure but we're counting on one or both of you to bring a bfp to the group. Come on baby....bfp.  Jen, I wonder what dh thinks bfp should stand for? hmm....almost afraid to know.  (-:

Anyone want to start a new thread?

Magda:  The cyst sounds horrible.  I think it is reasonable to discuss the use of anesthesia with your Dr.  If general is detrimental to an embryo, perhaps they can use a nerve block.

SamLB:  Sorry to hear about the arrival of AF - especially since it was so close to your beta.  It is hard enough not to get your hopes up, but as beta nears, there is always some small glimmer of hope.

Lisa:  Didn't mean to give advice about the hills without knowing your living situation.  That's the difficulty about trying to treat somebody without actually speaking with them at length.  As the hills can't be avoided, just try to warm up the injured area before walking.  If it is just a pulled muscle, it should be feeling better fairly soon, and you can begin GENTLE stretching again.  Just don't stretch a cold muscle.  Hope it feels better soon, and I want to thank you for being so supportive while you are taking a break.  You know we'll all be here for you when the time is right for you to try again.

Dee:  Glad you got a little BDing in.  I think it is always better to err on the side of caution.  Hope the TWW goes quickly for you with a BFP as the end result.

Fiona:  Just want you to know I am thinking about you.  Once your records transfer, you should try calling the new REs office on a regular basis to see if there are any cancellations.  A friend of mine in NY did that and got in to see her RE three months earlier than her scheduled appointment.

Heather:  It is always to good to read a post from you.  I can't believe you are 10 1/2 weeks already  -- although with your nausea and vomiting it probably feels like 10 1/2 years for you.  I have picked up the phone several times to call you, but since you haven't been posting too much I assumed that you were ill and didn't need to be disturbed.

Just to let you girls know - AF arrived. precisely 12 hours before I was going for my beta test. I am distraught... sooooo thought this was finally my lucky month with all the symptoms I had etc. Not so. Good luck to you all - thank you (Dee, Lisa and Helen in particular - SSBD galore!) for being so encouraging. Back on to injectables on Sunday.

Madga, you poor thing.  That cyst sounds awful, what a place to have it and what terrible timing.  I'm sure the drs have seen these thing before and will know how to treat it in your situation.  Good luck tomorrow, I'm praying for you.

Heather, sorry that you feel so bad.  You are missed, hope you get back soon.  Couple more weeks and hopefully you start to feel a whole lot better.

Dee, I'm waiting for my records to transfer to my new RE once that happens I'll try and get an earlier appt.  He only sees patients on tuesday and wednesday so i'm not hopeful.  How are you feeling?  Hope tww flies by for you.

Jen, bone down that was too funny.  Men!
Sasparilla, sounds like your having a tough time.  Hope the tooth is better today.  When is your beta, you still in this.  Don't give up yet.

Ah... so Lupron is the equivalent of the decapeptyl I take... I think.

Re my cyst... I was told it's not a good idea to have it operated on now as it will make the transfer unbelievably painful and that it's not a good idea to do it during pregnancy because there's a risk of severe bleeding since we are apparently "vascularised" in that whole region during pregnancy!  But apparently it's okay in the first 2 or 3 weeks.
I'm a bit concerned though because I think (could be wrong but I think) they're ging to go with a general anasthetic.  Now, much as we all know, I'm not at all averse to this idea (!!!) I'm worried that it might not be such a good thing for the embryo(s) if it/they have implanted.  But I still have to find out if it is in fact a general or local anasthetic that they'd use.

Oh Magda - thats awful. Make sure you have some painkillers ready for when the anaesthesia wears out. So looks like you need this operated on then? When do you think they will do this?

Lupron from my understanding is a pituitary supressant used so that spontaneous ovulation doesnt occur. I worked out that the nasal spray I was taking (Synarel) was its other brand name over here in Australia. So its not the same as FSH.
