BFP, but....

I finally got a BFP this past Saturday (yea!) after my third round of Clomid.  Bloodwork at 4w3d or 17 dpo: progesterone=14.2 (compare with 13.8 at 7 dpo), hCG=696.  My dr. is still not concerned about the prog and said I don't need to come back for bloodwork unless I see spotting or have pain.  I'm concerned about the progesterone level - I know that 9-44 is normal range for the first trimester, but I've read several places that anything under 15 at 7 dpo should get supplements?  And what is more important, good hCG levels, or good progesterone?  I know prog maintains the pregnancy for 12 or so weeks, but if the hCG is okay, does that mean the prog is enough? I have a call into the office, just for more information, since everything I've read is different than what my dr is saying (like when would they prescibe supplements, if they don't at under 15). I called my prior OB to get my results from preg #1, but they only did hCG, not Prog.   Should I just forget about it, or would you be concerned, too?

Well, I called my dr office back just to ask what standard they go against.  They told me <10 they supplement, otherwise they think it's good.  Apparently, this is also the AAOB (or whatever the OB Association is) standard.  They weren't sure why everything I've read says 15 unless it's extra precautious for fertility reasons.  I keep loosing sight of the fact that only God makes babies and makes the hormones work (whether natural or medicated).

Let us know about your levels.  I kind of wish I were going back for comparison, but I guess it's better right now that the dr said not too - less for my mind to be tempted with.
