Bilateral Varicocele

My boyfriend is 25 years old, and consulted a doctor about feeling of heaviness in his scrotum.  The sperm analysis was performed, and the result is azoospermia or 0 count, is this a rare/unusual conditon for his age?  And is there any possibility he could produce sperm and have a child someday?  What are his options for medical treatment?

From what I understand, they may be able to repair the varicoceles and that could make it so his body could make some sperm.
