Brown Spotting an Cramping

DS2
I was wondering how many women go on with a normal pregnancy after spotting and cramping? I'm 5 weeks 2 days pregnant, this is my third pregnancy and I lost the last 2. I'm super scared to see spotting, it's super light and my cramping as gotten better since last nite. I'm also taking prometrium and I was wondering if the cramping is due to that. I know that pill has some orange color so some of the spotting color is from that, but I think that spotting is more brown then orange. I have called my Dr to let her know but I have not heard back from her yet. Any advise will be great.
:)

brown spotting was from old blood like lorane1046 said.  You shoud not worry unless it turns red and come with clot.
I also lost twice and with the third one I got cramp and spot.  My son just turned 8 month old yesterday.  Enjoy your pg.

Oh by the way my RE told me the spotting was from old blood from the  uterus that was being expelled as it stretched:)
