Hi there Thanxs for ur comments i have done all these tests and prolactin and tyroid tests are normal .about the hormones as my last period were in May last week ( even i dont remeber the date now) Dr said its difficult to say without knowing the date whether these hormones are in normal range however he said whichever phase i was in the range looks normal so nothing to worry about.

Ultrasound as i sadi Bulky ovaries so couldnt check for follicular changes .but it mentioned normal myometrium endometrium 4mm thickness no cyst or any other pathology noted.

Now what can this be? i have actually lost weight (5KG) in past 4 months and i have no abnormal hair growth anywere .

Any comments appreciated.

Thanxs

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The normal adult ovary measures approximately 3cm - 5cm in length, 1.5cm - 3cm in width, and 0.5cm - 1.5cm in thickness. So if the ovaries are bulky or the size of ovaries is more then these symptoms can be due to PCOD.

For this, you can get tests like 2 hr GTT, serum androgen and testosterone levels, LH-FSH ratio, prolactin levels, TSH levels,17-hydroxyprogesterone levels  and 3D ultrasound done.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
