Calling All Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Ad: Good luck this cycle!! Sorry you're having such a hard time giving blood samples though...I hate being poked and prodded!

Mommyin10: I think here they are expecting the vaccine sometimes in the next 2 wks. Hopefully that's the case b/c we leave on the 1st for PR :-) I'm really excited to go, and my SIL is sending me the good respiratory masks from her hospital to wear on the planes...My OB's office doesn't do the flu shot at thier office which I kind of found odd, so I went the clinic that Walgreens was hosting at the mall by my work. I had them give me the preservative free one - cost a little more but oh well. He definitley relieved some of my worries about the H1N1 vaccine though...So now I guess we just need to stay on top of protecting ourselves against this other nasty flu. I read on the CDC website (I think) today that it's being blamed for 600 deaths already. Scary stuff!!!
On a good note, have you felt the babies move yet? Peyton sure is an active little one!! At least she sleeps while I do at night most of the time. When I get up to go to the bathroom at night (2-3 times...) and I'll get back to bed and then she'll kick some and move about like she's saying...Ahhh, I have room!! LOL - Have a good weekend!!

luvkayln:  Well, I guess it wasn't a one-time thing...  I got sick again last night!  I've had this horrible cold that I'm trying to shake & so I made a beef/vegetable soup for dinner, but next thing I know, I'm throwing it up ;(  If this is a new pattern for me, I sure hope it's only at night when I'm home & not something that surprises me at work!  Yikes!  I keep taking my temperature & I still don't have a fever, so I'm sure it's just a cold, but I did read that a cold will affect pregnant women 3 times longer than normal...  We decided on Jan. 10 for our shower.  It's a Sunday & will be approx 2 months from my expected delivery date, so hopefully I'm not on bedrest or anything! :)  I'm glad to hear that you rented a banquet room too for your shower!  Was yours all girls or guys too?  I found a place that sounds like it may be perfect.  I've been emailing the coordinator.  I can't wait to see new pics of you! You keep mentioning your huge belly & you're making me curious =)

dnikki:  It's funny 'cause in just the past week, I started really getting nauseous over smells.  I didn't feel that way before & like I told luvkayln, I got sick again last night.  I guess there's just no predicting what will happen!  That's great that your co-workers are going to throw you a shower, especially because you weren't planning to have one!  I'm sure they're excited to do it for you, too & you'll get all the girly toys & clothes Peyton needs =)  My co-workers are doing one too & the funny thing is that two friends at work approached me last Monday about it, the same day my MIL emailed me about having one.  It was funny that last Monday was "the day" to talk about baby showers =)  I'm so glad you're planning to get the swine flu shot, especially because you'll be traveling out of the country next month!  That will definitely put your worries at rest.  It takes 2 weeks for the shots to be effective, so you should be in great shape.  I'm still waiting for my ob's office to get their regular flu shots & it should be this week.  I just feel like (especially being sick now) I'm lucky to be escaping it.  My workplace is not the ideal place to avoid being sick...  I just want to be vaccinated so I won't have to worry.  The swine flu shot won't be available here til late Oct, so I'm hoping my ob's office has it when I go for my next u/s on the 21st.

ad_06:  That's exciting that you're getting so close to your iui!!!  Wow, that's a bummer, though, that it's so hard to take your blood...  When will you go to the hospital to have it drawn?  Has your doc told you to take baby aspirin yet?  That's supposed to help with clotting.  Ask him and see what he says.

luvkayln - I really like my RE, I just wish I would have stated going to him years ago. Instead of messing around with the Ob/Gyn's that I was going to. No he didn't put me on progesterone when I got my BFP in April. So hopefully that will make a difference.

Just a quick update.. Today makes CD 6 so only today and tomorrow left for the femara. Boy that med is really kicking my butt this time. I've had a good bit of the side effects. But it's all worth it in the end!  Yesterday I had major cramping in my left ovary. But it seemed to let up if I wasn't walking. So now we just have to wait for a smiley......then it will be IUI time :) Oh, remember how I said that took blood to see if I have a clotting disorder? Well the ladies had a really hard time getting blood out of me. It took like 15 mins to even get a tube, and they need 2 tubes, so they had to try my other arm for the 2nd tube and they could only get a little bit......they called Friday and said that it wasn't enough for the lab to do anything with, so they  are sending me an order to have it done at the closest hospital....

Hope all you ladies had a wonderful weekend!

Mommyin10: Sorry you're still having this cold, but glad you don't have a fever!
I can't believe that was the first time you've gotten sick this pregnancy! You are sooo lucky!! I still get nauseated at night sometimes and even over the smell of foods. I still can't eat chicken lol!!! And beef and pork and such are getting old lol. Sounds like you will have a fun baby shower! I was at work yesterday and the one lady I work with was excited b/c I'm the first one they get to throw a shower for :-)   (They just opened in Feb.). So that'll be nice! Peyton just mainly needs clothes and some girly toys...I'm wanting to go shopping again at the outlets soon, but we shall see!

Luvkayln: These afternoon naps are becoming quite nice lol! You need to post more belly pics :-) I feel like I'm getting huge! Peyton is still quite low, all her movement is about an inch and a half below my belly button all the way down to my pubic bone. She certainly likes to kick my bladder while I'm in the middle of a massage lol!

Scripps: I have no idea what your numbers mean, but good luck to you!!!

Kmcarino: Good luck to you!

Well, I worked the past 2 days so today I'm just going to straighten up the house a bit and do some laundry. I'll take a nap when DS goes down for his lol! You all know how I've been worried about the H1N1 vaccine and whether or not to get it, and I've finally decided. I posted this in the Feb. 10 babies forum, but I copied it and pasted it here below.

Well, after going back and forth and debating whether or not I should get this vaccine has really been tough on me. I recieved my flu shot yesterday and asked the PA what he thought of the H1N1 vaccine. He said to me "Honestly, you really need to get it being pregnant...The mortality rate for pregnant woman is now up to 50% and the vaccine may also protect your baby once born which is good b/c infants are too young to receive the flu vaccines..." He also told me it's made the same way the flu shot is made - by a strand of the flu DNA and it is not a live virus, and that you can't get the virus by getting the vaccine. So, with all this being said and with the H1N1 virus running rampant now, I will be getting this vaccine. I know it hasn't been studied that long, but my theory is that Tamiflu and such isn't recommended for p/g woman b/c of the unknown effects on the fetus. So, to me, it's a no win situation on that front. So, I'm going to try to protect my unborn baby and myself so that both of our children can have a mother to share their lives with. I just can't risk it. That mortality rate is way to high for mine and DH's comfort...

Have a great day everyone, I'll check in later!!!
Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

P.S    Anyone hear from Mrspace?

Mommyin10- Awww, you finally got sick, huh?! ;) Well, at least you felt better afterwords! I know I'd rather just get it over with then feel overwhelmingly nauseated! I've only been sick one time so far with Addy, so I'm greatful there! It was a lot  more with Kayln than once! I just woke up from a nap, what a long day it was. I'm glad you have the rest of the weekend to just relax! That's what's on my agenda too! :) Of course tomorrow is house cleaning day, so I'll still do that, but I'll take my time and take lots of breaks in between. I'm getting so big now that I'm realizing I have to take my time when I do things so I don't over do it! :) That's awesome about your baby shower! Sounds like you'll have a lot of guests, so that will be a lot of fun! :) That's what we did too, rent a banquet hall at a restaurant (when I was pregnant with Kayln.) Let us know when the date is set for that! :) I'm still loving Noelle, but Sean and I haven't really talked anymore about it! I know we need to to finalize things, but I know I'll win! Isn't that horrible!?? ;) I just feel like Noel looks like "nole"!? We'll see... ;) Enjoy the rest of your weekend and get lots of rest! :)

Kmcarino- Hey, you never know! The month we got pregnant with Addy I was not confident at all! I know we gaurd our hearts anyways each month, so it's easier to accept AF when she shows, but you just never know when that BFP is gonna sneak right up on us! ;)

Scripps- Hhmm.. I'm not too sure what those numbers mean either? Did you doctor say anything about them? Hopefully AF is just a couple days away and you'll be able to start trying again! :) We're all praying for your BFP very soon!! Stay strong, it's just around the corner!!! :)

Good morning, ladies & Happy Saturday! =)  So, I still have this awful cold, but I've been taking my temperature & it's been normal, so that makes me feel better...  Then, last night was the first time in my pregnancy that I actually got sick & I'm 14 weeks!  We were eating dinner, take-out from an Italian place & dh got cioppino (fish stew).  OMG, the smell was just too overwhelming...  Anyway, I felt better afterwards ;)  We're in the midst of talking about a baby shower.  My MIL wants to do whatever we want & we're deciding on whether to do a co-ed party at a restuarant or something smaller.  Without the guys, there are already 40 people on our list, so I think a luncheon in a banquet room at a restaurant would be perfect!  I'm so excited =)

Stacey:  Wow, that's great that Jake slept 7 hours, even if dh had to relocate ;)  Poor guy!  I can understand where you're coming from, though!  Yes, it was so exciting to think that I was feeling them!  I can't imagine how it'll be when they're much bigger =)

luvkayln:  That's good you're gonna start cutting back.  November being slower is a big help, too! =)  I know, it was so neat to feel them move!  It was a definite popcorn-popping feeling!  It'll be amazing to see when they're moving around like Addy is!  I can't wait =)  No big plans this weekend.  dh will be finishing the moulding in our front room, etc. and I just want to relax.  I haven't been feeling great, so I want to take it easy.  Of course, I'll clean and grocery shop, etc., but nothing big planned ;)  How about you?  So, I meant to ask you, did you & dh agree on Noelle?

scripps:  I can't interpret those numbers either. What did your doc say?  Let's just hope AF shows soon so you can move forward!  Let's go, AF!!! =)

kmcarino:  Good luck!

Yesterday, I got the results of the hormone tests I did on Monday.  I still don't have my period.  From the way my body feels, I would say it's about 2 days away.  Estrogen was 132, LH: 3.1, progesterone: 15,3.  I can't really interpret those numbers since all my references are 3rd or 4th day of cycle.  The estrogen seems a bit high for end of cycle, though.  Anyway, nothing to do but wait.

luvkayln- Thanks!  No, I am not feeling too confident this cycle...I just don't feel like it worked.   All I have had is cramping the last two days.  I always cramp a week before af.  The cramps are gone now so I am grateful to not be feeling crappy.  I wish I had other symptoms though so i could feel more positive about this cycle.  I know anything could happen, but I just don't feel like it has worked this time.

You are so lucky to have your little girl in your arms soon!  I am so happy for you:)

Mommyin10- Yay, how exciting you felt them move!! I remember always not knowing for sure if that's what I was feeling with Kayln, so this time around I knew! ;) Just wait, their kicks will get stronger as they get bigger, and with 2 I can only imagine the shapes your belly is gonna make! lol ;) I'm glad you were able to get some rest Wednesday night! I did that a few weeks ago too, came home Saturday night after working and didn't wake up until noon on Sunday!! Your body will definately let you know when it's time to slow down! ;) Sean's on me about cutting my hours back, so for sure the week after next I'll be able to go down to 4 days, so he's happy about that! November is looking a little slow right now, so that works out anyways! ;) You have a great weekend too! Any special plans?

Stacey- Hey girlie! :) That's funny dh has been kicked out of the bed, poor guy! lol ;) At least you've found a remedy to make everyone happy! I know, everytime Addy pooches her butt out, I rub it too! And then she'll either pooch it out more, or suck it back in. This morning she was an active little thing while I was still in bed, and I actually felt her leg to the left of my belly! It was awesome, but she  didn't keep it stretched out for long. I can't wait until my next u/s! I want to see how much she's grown, and I just fall more and more in love with her everytime I see her! Give Jake kisses from us! ;)

Kmcarino- Thanks! :) I'm SO ready to have her here, won't be too much longer now! :) I think your numbers sound great! I'm  not sure on the estrogen since I've not had that tested after O, but your progesterone definately is good! :) Feeling positive for this cycle?? Good luck! :)

Guesito- Her new pics are adorable! :) Can hardly believe she's 3 weeks already, wow! Sorry, don't have any advice on what to do as far as her crying everytime you put her down?... Hhmm... I guess she just wants that nurturing feeling from you that she's obviously getting when you hold her! :) When is your hsg? We'll be sending you lots of good wishes for that day! :)

My grandbaby will only sleep in my bed too,  In the Crib she cries and in the bassinet she also cries. I thought she was spoiled because everytime I put her down she starts to cry and she  wont stop unless I pick her up. Any suggestions anyone...I had my last child 11 yrs ago so im kind off fresh to this lol.

I got my hormone level results today.  I am 8dpiui and my progesterone is over 20 and my estrogen is 237.  Does that seem good?

Happy Friday!!

Mommyin10 - so exciting!!  You felt your babies last night!!!  Happy 14 weeks!

Luvkayln - Happy 28 weeks!!  That is so cute that you saw Addy`s little butt.  Jake always used to do that and I always rubbed it...and I still do today :)  I love his little butt

Guesito - so happy for you!!  And great news from the RE.

dnikki - hope you feel better and take it easy!!

Things are all good here. Jake slept for 7 hours on Thurs night!  He was in the bed with  me for most of it but he still slept for 7 hours.  I was very excited.  We are having challenges though because he won`t sleep for long in the bassinet or crib...only in our bed!  So I kicked dh out of the bed so Jake can safely sleep beside me and we can all get some sleep!  Not ideal but you gotta do what you gotta do!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

You are so close I wish you the best and can't wait to see your little one. Take care xoxoxo

Mommying-  You have no idea how relieved I am to have found an RE that listens and that has such a wonderful staff. I feel like I have a chance. He has been a Dr. for 45 years and will retire in 5 years.  Very high success rate and priced very reasonable. Im excited!

luvkayln:  OMG, I can't wait til mine are moving around like that!  How exciting to see your little Addy ;)  You know, I read that the earliest feelings of your baby moving would be like gas bubbles or popcorn-type feelings or even nausea.  Well, I got very nauseous at work yesterday & then last night as we were watching TV, I felt little popcorn popping!!!  Do you think that's the babies?!  I was excited :)  That's great you got such a good night sleep!  I have been so tired.  We're covering another courtroom at work & I'm not used to working so much.  Wednesday was so busy, I came home and fell asleep!  dh and I were supposed to go out to dinner, but when I woke up, it was after 7:00!!!  I guess I needed it :)  I hope you have a great weekend!

guesito:  That's great that you're so happy with your new RE!  To feel like he's really listening to you is so important =)  I know HSG's aren't fun, but you're moving in the right direction & I wish you my best!!!

Ad_06- Congrats!! Wow, it sounds like you have a wonderful doctor! :) I have a slight blood clotting disorder, so my OB has put me on baby aspirin every day to help with it, just to make sure Addy is getting enough oxygen through the cord, etc. :) So, you weren't on progesterone when you got your BFP? That will definately help when you get your next one! My RE put me on it with Addy after our iui, even though I never took it with our first baby or with Kayln. But I had spotting with both of those pregnancies, and not with Addy, so maybe that made a difference? I really have a good feeling for you this month! All my prayers are with you!!! :)

Dnikki- Did you feel this way in the shower too? Maybe the water was too hot? I used to get like that when I was pregnant with Kayln, and feel the exact same way when I would get out. I'm glad you're feeling better now! :) Hopefully your work day goes by quickly so you can hurry and get home to relax! :)

Scripps- I'm glad you are still loving your new doctor! He does seem like he really cares, which is awesome! :) I'm sure your body is still a little out of whack since your m/c last month, so Af should arrive soon. I know it took me 6 weeks to have a period again after my m/c, but everyone's body adjusts differently. Hopefully af will show soon and you can begin your injections and be well on your way to your BFP! :)

Guesito- That's great your appointment went so well! :) I had a hsg test the same cycle I got pregnant, so maybe that combined with your reversal will be the key to getting your sticky BFP!! :) It's always good to have a backup plan, so IVF is there if needed! How's the grandbaby doing?

I got SO much sleep last night, it was awesome! :) I went to bed at 7:30 (wow!) and have been up since 5:00 am! That's ok b/c I'll need to get extra sleep tonight b/c I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow, yuck! I hope everyone has a great weekend!! :)

Just real quick - things are going good here... I slept like cr ap last night and had to get up early to get in the shower before DS woke up. After my shower I must have had low BS, I started getting lightheaded and really hot and felt a little nauseated. Doing better now that I had breakfast so we'll see. No fever or anything! I'm really tired and I'm working 10-5. I'll update more later toinght! Have a good day!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

We saw the doctor yesterday, and I still think he is very good and pays attention.  However, my period is 5 days late, and I'm definitely not pregnant.  The doctor said there were enough follicles to proceed, but there weren't as many as there normally are.  Of course I was bothered by that finding, but I'm not surprised.  My body is still tired from last month's miscarriage; I don't feel normal yet.  However, the doctor must think that it's best to keep my body in the conceiving mode, because we're going ahead.  As soon as I get my period, I begin injections, then go see him again.  I just wish we had seen him two years ago, before I had gotten worn out by those idiots at the hospital.

Everything went great!
He put me on Femera 5mg days 3 - 7, IUI when I get my first smiley :) He gave me his home phone number just in case I get a surge over that weekend. He just decided to do it that way because when I got my BFP in April, we did IUI on the day of my 1st smiley and it worked.
He said that he can't call me infertility because I have gotten pregnant, so I am subfertility....don't know the difference!?! We also did blood work to see if I have a clotting disorder? I don't what they do for that if you do have one? He is going to put me on progesterone to see if that helps. I still have the one cyst that he found with my BFP in April....he said that it's on the outside of my tube, but if not looked at carefully, some drs would think that it would be in the ovary. So we will see what happens.......Hopefully it works!
Sorry it took so long for an update.....I just now got home! We stopped at my parents for a bit, then my stepson had a soccer game. I will keep everyone posted and thanks for the support.

Appt went great I really liked my new RE, not only did he take his time to explain all our options but was very sympathetic about all the $$ we have spent in the old RE.  So here;s the plan...

He wants to focus on a tubal reversal first. He claims its alot cheaper and im so healthy that I should be able to concieve natural there after. He has given me a 80% chance of getting preggo after my reversal. But before we can decide I am scheduled for a HSG, Yikes!!!!! He wants to verify that everything is ok before proceeding with the reversal. If not then we fall back on IVF, they have this wonderful program that if you share your eggs they will discount 60% of the IVF fees, Which I kinde like to help someone else concieve but.... Just not sure yet.

Good night all

Mommyin10- Thanks, I know!! I can hardly believe I'm already 28 weeks, it's awesome! :) It's crazy to think that we're already in October, and by the end of next Month or the very first week in December i'll be giving birth...! Crazy! ;) Today it was so funny b/c I was on the computer at work, looked down at my belly and it looked like Gumby's head! lol She was pooching out her little butt or something b/c my stomach looked all kinds of crazy! :) Kayln used to do that all the time, but would make my stomach look like a camel's back! :) Hope you enjoyed your day! 14 weeks already, yay! :) Soon you'll be feeling those 2 moving around! ;)

Lots of luck for you today!  I wanted to say that I am sorry that your insurance company get to dictate when and how you get to become a family.  I don't understand any of this.  They pay for nothing and it just isn't fair.  I fight with my insurance company all the time.  Make sure that you ask if there is any place you can get the meds cheaper or set up a payment plan.  You deserve to have a family even if they don't want to pay.

Thank you so much! I'm over the moon I adore this little girl. Im up every 3 hours @ night but cannot complain its all worth it..

AFM- I was a little hesitant about my RE appt tomorrow since I know have a newborn to take care of anyways I had to call hubby to remind him about the appt tommorow and went on to question him wether we should continue TTC. Well I was shock when he responded, This little girl has changed my life and yes we need to have another baby in the house. He also jokingly said "Im trading your motorcycle for a mini van"  I have had themost beautiful days of my life and are so grateful to god and really hope my appt goes well tomm and god blesses me with a BFP.

TTL
