Clomid and cycles
My doctor put me on Clomid 50mg on day 5-9 because i haven't had a cycle in over 6 months and we are ttc. Will the clomid start my cycle again too or just the ovulation?
Hello all, I wanted to add my bit on clomid-YOU dont have to have a period or bleed to start clomid -I havnt had a regular cycle or even a cycle for years due to an eating problem and lowish body weight. But my dr told me to start clomid on a particular day for 5 days-i had a test 21 days later and showed my eostrogen levels were high and progesterone over 30, i had ovulated!!! I also though i may have a had mucus stuff, anyway r told m to expect a period and if one didnt come to take a hpt, anyway got period, so clomid worked, helped me ovulate and the lower dose 50mg. We have tried it a few times inbetween ivfs and sometimes it works but also i know not to go on it for more than 2-3 cycles as it gave me a cyst last year.am 42 and know chances are low, but have been on clomid agaiin, has given me a period so know i ovulated last month, taking clomid again this cycle now i have the period, will take on day 2-5, and try again. my best wishes to all, i hope everyone gets their dreams to come true, melissa in u.k
Hi there. My cycles aren't regular at all. My gynae also told me to start clomide on any day and consider that day as day 5 of my cycle. He also told me to have progesterone tests done 18 days later (day 23). He said we must "get it on" days 11 - 19... I have cycts though and wondering how long it will take for me to get pregnant. Can anyone say?
Well I've been trying to get pregnant over a year now! I'm 22 and I heared about the clomid but I wasn't sure if it was really true it can help with getting pregnant! Where and who should I go to , will my primary care doctor procribe me clomid or my obgyn!???
Hello all! Well today for me is 4dpo. I o'd on the 4th. Wasn't much fun either, it was a very painful O. Just my body's way of saying the clomid worked. I am very excited, but I'm not getting my hopes up until I see a BFP. How is everyone else doing?
I think I got a positive opk!! I'm not absolutely sure, the line is as dark as the control, but some is faded. It's 1/2 really dark and 1/2 faded. Not sure what it means! I'm kind of excited, but I'm not getting my hopes up until my 21 day check which is the 9th. I hope I hope! Good luck to all, I'm hoping this will be my last month ttc.
I have heard some people say 6 rounds is the limit, but it depends on your doctor and the protocols he/she follows.
Started the new round of clomid today! I'm actually excited about it this month. Does anyone know how many rounds they normally let u go through? I did 4 rounds of 50's and this is 2 rounds of 100's. Just wondering! Hope to see lots of BFP's for everyone this month. Good luck and SSBD to all.
This is going to be the month(June/July), I won't let it not be. That is how I'm going to look at it from now on. If it isn't, then there's always another month to try. I am too determined now too let the little stuff get in my way. I just have a feeling that this will be the month, and we're going to try extra hard to make it that way.
Well, af showed late Sat. I was really bummed. I'm kinda feeling better now, at least we're not wondering and we can start another month off right. Hopefully this will b all our months. Good Luck to all of u. SSBD to all
Still no af !!!!! I have heard that the clomid can cause af to come late, just wondering if this is true? I had af symptoms like the day before or the day af was due, but none since then, They didn't even last 4 hours. I'm not sure if I should be excited that she hasn't shown or worried!!!! I am trying to hold out until Sunday to test which is harder than I thought, if af hasn't shown and its bfn, I'm going to call for a blood test. I'm still hopeful, but so unsure at the moment. However, I don't know if it's preggo symptoms or not, but I get nausous every night between 11pm and 12 am, I've had heartburn the past week everyday, and I have had a lot of cm. Plus I feel like I have to pee every hour. I don't know if I'm just psyching myself out, or if this is preggo symptoms. Just have to wait until Sunday or later. I do know with my last pregnancies, I had to have blood tests, cuz hpt wouldn't show at all so I'm still hoping and praying that this was our month. Sorry this is so long and thanks for listening(reading)!!!!
I was on clomid for a couple of years. All it did was make me sweat the whole time. Good luck with it.
Well, No af yet. So I'm still in the running for another day at least! This may be TMI, but normally when dh and I bd and af is due, it makes me start. Not just once in awhile but everytime, and it didn't this time. So I'm taking that as a good sign. I did test this morning and it was bfn. I'm just hoping it was too soon, gonna take another on Sunday. I did the q tip test, and there is no signs of starting af at all. So that's a really good sign. Until af shows, I will stay positive, if it does show, then it'll just happen next month. Good luck to all who are TTC

Well, no af as of yet, but I'm starting to cramp, so I'm thinking maybe this wasn't the month. Still not out of the running yet though. I plan on testing in the morning if af doesn't show. That will put me 14 dpo. I o'd on cd 15 and my cyles are normally 28 days apart so I was supposed to start today. Hopefully af doesn't show and I get a bfp tomorrow! If it doesn't show by Monday, I'm going to call and see if I can get a blood test done. Monday would put me at 19 dpo, it would show on a blood test by then wouldn't it? Well here's hoping! I don't know yet, hopefully in a few days I'll know. The only problem is urine tests dont' normally show for me. I've had to have blood tests done previously to know.
Yay! My levels last month were 2.4 and this month, even checking 2 days late, my level was 34.2. I am so excited! Just a few more days and I can take a hpt. I really hope this is my last month of all the meds. That would be a really good Father's day present.
I go in the 8th of June for my 21 day progesterone , then i should b able to take a hpt by the 15th. Does that sound right to you, I'm not sure? I'm just so excited that i finally did O after trying without meds for almost a year, and with meds the last 4 months. I'm not really sure how to add that all up, I say the 15th cuz that's around the time my next cycle should start.
