False Positve?

So today I am 13dpo and last night i took a + - type hpt...(accu clear brand from target) it came out positive. I didnt want to believe it cause I havent had any major symptoms like I had in my previous pregnancies. (my boobs are only mildy sore) every time before they have always been super sore by now.. So today I took another test same kind and it looks negative, I know the positive one was not an evap line cause it was the same blue color as the control line ( ive heard evaps are grayish).
So IDK what to think..Im due for AF tomorrow, I am on progesterone suppositories which they say it delays your AF but Ive always gotten AF even on progestrone in the past...Im supposed to go for a blood test on tuesday.. Im not feeling very hopeful, as I feel AF is coming any minute now, and yes I know that could be preggo symptoms to..
This is just so annoying and I know they say false positives are rare but IDK what else to think..guess I just needed to vent. Dont think i will be testing anymore this cycle and just wait for the blood test.

Thanks and if you got one on the pink line test Im sure you are! After this has happend to me I did some research and read about alot of probs with the blue tests..and the pink ones are more relieable..

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.  If it was a chemical pregnancy, though, a pink test may have been positive as well.  All this talk about blue tests is definitely making me nervous since 3 of the 4 hpt BFPs I've had in the past 4 days were on blue tests.  The first one, which was a faint positive, was pink, though, so I'm holding out hope.  I should be hearing my first beta hcg results this afternoon...

Well I will never buy a + - blue dye test again! Beta came back negative, stupid test gave me false hope! Im hoping next try wil be it...it has to be my turn soon! Or Im gonna go crazy!

Look at it this way - considering how your other pregnancies ended, it could very well be a GOOD sign that you feel differently this time. Couple that with the positive hpt and I'd say you have some great reasons to stay positive for your beta tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you!

Hey Butterfly I am 14dpt today I took a test on 11dpt it was negative I have one left its a first response early detection but my beta is tomorrow so I am just waiting for it I have no symptoms at all but I have never been pg before so I would not know what to expect Try to stay positive I know it is hard I am right there with you Praying for you sweets

Im not testing anymore and waiting for my beta tomorrow...but I honestly dont think I am, the last 3 times I was, I really knew I was before it was confirmed with an hpt or beta..but this time I just dont feel it..ya know..

When I got pregnant with my son after an IUI I took a digital pregnancy test 4 days before my AF was due and it read positive. As for pregnancy symptoms I never had any, It was very hard for me to believe I was pregnant and was worried all the time, the only thing that reassured me that there was a little baby in there was when I went to my Dr every 3 weeks and saw it on the scan. I know its crazy but its true.

Just stay positive, remember you ARE pregnant unless proven otherwise!!!!

I know the blue tests are notorious for bad results - something to do with the blue dye. Stay away from them! Get some dollar tests. I got a positive (faint) with a 9 hcg level, so they definately work! I don't feel guilty peeing on those things :) Good luck sweetie - praying for you!

I am right there with you, but none of my tests this time have been positive.  My nurse keeps telling me to stop taking th hpt and just wait for the blood work.  Last time I had all of these different symptoms and this time, I think I am looking for them. So I don't know if they are real or all in my head.  I am suppose to do my blood work on Wed.  I am so depressed after all of the negative tests, I had a nice comfort meal for dinner and I am just going to keep hoping the blood work will come back good.  Good luck to you and I hope everything works out.
