Femara adverse side effects, do they stop happening?? Also what about metformin

Can you get pregnant just taking metformin?? I have PCOS and if metformin can regulate my period and ovulation , is it possible to get pregnant just taking that. I ask cause I have tried clomid without any luck  and took Fermara for the first time last night and got shaking, dizzy, really hot and then really cold..and then turned pale white. I didnt sleep well..and still feel shaky and really hot this morning. Does that eventually stop happening, or has anyone else experienced it?

I am not sure about splitting them up but it doesn't seem like it would hurt anything.  I guess I would ask the doctor about that.  And maybe on your next cycle (if this one is not successful) he could prescribe only one a day.  Be sure to mention your side effects.  Best of luck!!
p.s. I never tried clomid.  My RE doc gave me the choice and I chose femara first.  I just usually heard that the side effects of clomid could be bad and I didn't want to waste time thinning my lining.

I didnt have any clomid side effects at all... the doctor gave me 2.5 mg but I take 2 a day. Maybe I should split them up and take 1 in the morning and one at night, just like my metformin. Maybe that would help me not feel that bad. Can I split them up or is that bad??

Yes of course you can get pregnant on just metformin but you may have trouble or it may take you longer.  If the metformin seems to be regulating your periods you probably have better odds of it happening.  It never really made my periods shorter but I took femara and got pregnant right away.  Funny - femara never gave me any side effects at all.  And I thought I heard that the side effects from femara were usually much better than clomid.  Maybe you are just sensitive to it.  How much did you take?  i think I took 5mg for 5 days but I think you can also take 2.5mg for 5 days.
