Find an RE instead of ob, they are more aggressive about fertility treatments.

Don't stress. You just need to find a dose of clomid where you actually ovulate. The pain you experienced before could have been caused by a cyst if you didn't ovulate during that cycle on clomid. But once you ovulate it becomes easier to pin point your fertile days. I was on clomid for 3 months and got pregnant with our first child who in now 2. I am currently waiting myself for AF to come so I can start my first round of clomid as well. Good Luck to you!

My dr first ran infertility tests to eliminate some common causes of infertility (bloods to make sure I O and HSG to make sure the tubes are open).  If your tubes are blocked clomid will not help.  Also, given your age your ob should check your fsh levels (day 3 blood test).  After every clomid cycle you shuold be checked for potential over-stimulation.

I suggest you contact an RE; they tend to be more aggressive when it comes to infertility treatments than ob's.  They also know more about the latest infertility treatments.
Good luck!

You don't always have the U/S for folicle size. I was given clomid and then I went for a progestrone test on CD21.  that was it.

Not all gynacologists are used to clomid, at least the ones here aren't.  I know a few people that were given it and then told to call if they didn't get a cycle naturally by a certain CD. they would have a BT and if negative give something to induce a period and then they increased the dose of clomid.   I went to a feritility specialist though so they did the CD21 progestrone tests.   if I had stayed with my OBGYN I doubt he would have tested it.

What days did she tell you to take the Clomid?  its normally CD 3-7 or CD5-9

i don't think a doctor can say good bye after giving clomid if that is so u better change the doctor as clomid is not a panadol u can give and forget. After 10 to 12 days of initiating medicine u should go for an ultrasound to check follicle size and if appropriate some medicine is required to induce ovulation. For your safety please consult a qualified gynaecologist as clomid also has some serious side effects that should be taken care off. Best of luck
