Had a little cramping 5 days post embryo transfer for about 3 days but it seems to have stopped ?? Good or bad.....

hello all, I am THRILLED to find this post today.  I am going for my test on thursday and the wait is crippling.  I am trying to stay busy at work, but cannot focus at all.  I had 19 eggs, 13 mature, 8 fertilized.  they transferred two and we have one frozen. I had some cramping the first several days but the last day or so, nothing.  I am not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign or nothing at all!  I have seen many people post not to pay too much attention to the symptoms, but it is so hard!  like jennie1121, I am not going to do a HPT either for fear of false negatives, but the time is dragging!!  Please say a prayer for us and a BFP on Thursday!!!

Hi everyone. I am 5dp5dt and I can't cope anymore, its driving me insane! I am 24 and this is my 1st cycle. I did 2 cycles of egg donation previous which were shaped between 4 women all of which caught pregnant,  that was a wonderful feeling that I helped women achieve their dream.  I'm just hoping and praying that karma works in good ways.  My partner has 2 children aged 16 n 13. We have been going through this treatment for 2 years now.  The donation treatment made me poorly. I just hope my little 1 stays put. I want to do a hpt now but my partner says no just incase but there not feeling hat I am!  If I did a test tomorrow do u think it mite give me some answers? It would be day 6?!?! X

My cramos started strong and then lessened as the days went by I would say about 5 days of cramping followed by mild cramping for weeks after. Cramping is you ligaments in and around you uterus streching to make way and room for the baby(babies).
I have kept tract  of my experience since about day 1 of the drugs before hand in my journal so that I can look back later and remember everything.
I started testing since the day of transfer because I wanted to test the trigger shot out of my system I was a 3 day transfer and started getting a HPT after 7 days you are a 5dt so you should get a positive after 5-6 days faintly but if not do not worry as sometimes you may have a late implantor that can take longer. Hope that helps and Good Luck.

What part of Ireland do live in? My husband and I went the about a year ago for a few weeks for vacation. his dream vaca- we drove across country and he loved it. You can never really explain how amazing the cliffs of Mohr are you can only experience them I think :)

I was successful with my first try at IVF. Transferred two 5 day blasts and I'm now a mommy of 15 month old twins. :) I cheated and took a HPT two days before my bloodwork and saw a faint positive. Took another one the next day and the line was darker. I wish I could remember exactly how my body was feeling during that two weeks, but it's been almost 2 years since then. I just know my mind was racing every single day constantly thinking, "am I? Or no?"

Good luck to you! Just try and relax and I hope you get that positive result!

Hi jennie, that's a fab story not long to good by the sounds of it!! Hope your feeling well. I wake everyday to Waite to go to bed ... So that I'm closer to that all important date! I have great support but I don't know anyone going through this treatment hence the fact I'm glued to this web site. If their was a live chat room I don't think I ever be off it!! The nearest support group is a hour and a half away from me (drive) today I felt a little nauseous and my cramps are defo lightening  but like you said it doesn't matter sometimes I think it's all in my head !!!! Thank you for replying to me it's lovely to hear such good stories. Mind yourself and enjoy motherhood :)

I had a positive IVF experience the first time as well. I transferred two 5-day blasts and am now 9.5 months pregnant with one baby. I would not worry too much about what you think you are "supposed" to feel (totally easier said than done-I remember :) Personally, I had some mild cramping for a few days and that was it. I didn't have the implantation bleeding or the sore boobs that lots of other people describe. I also chose not to do any HPTs for fear of any false positives or negatives, but that's just me :) It's a very stressful and emotional time, I know. Hang in there, and good luck!

Hi what a great story. I had two embryo transferred they both made it to day5 blast stage... I now worry if i don't cramp like yest but once I sat down it was only very mild. How long did yours last? How early did you do your test. My test is due on Sunday the 8th..... I have had no spotting thank god. I did ring the clinic and they said if I bleed to contact them. I have never wasted so much of my time as I have this week! I have ask you as a friend I hope you don't mind. I also have a brill husband but he just doesn't know what to say or go sometimes x hope to hear from you soon :)

I started my first IVF in Feb I had a 3dt and I had mild to bad cramping from day 2 on with some bleeding around 5-6 days after transfer. All of these are normal. Also the progesterone the RE puts you on after egg retrival causes cramping.
I tested early so I knew I had a BFP before going for my bloodwork at the end of the horrible 2ww :)
I had a high HCG 1500+ on day 14. Turned out to be twins. So my first time worked and Both Eggs we put back stuck. I am Now 9 1/2 weeks  along with strong HB babies. So try to relax and Know that I too was one of the woman when this started for me that said, it probably wont work but it does. ;-)  Good Luck
