Folic acid help?!

Hello, I heard from a friend that folic acid helps with hair growth and strengthening nails. I started taking it a while ago after doing some research.
I recently heard it also increases fertility? Is this true?? Just curious.
Also does it cause any unwanted body hair growth?
I am 20 so far from wanting a baby at this stage.

Many doctors recommend folic acid to prevent birth defects.  Many people have a folic acid deficiency so it certainly couldn't hurt.

Please do research on products before you start taking them, they could be harmful (luckily this one isn't) :)

I'm not sure if it helps with the things you asked about but I do know taking folic acid prior to getting pregnant reduces the chances by 50% of having a baby with spina bifida ...
