HCG Level/DPO

Are my HCG levels on track? I had ivf retrieval on 1/24/09.  We transferred 3 embryos on 1/27/09.  I went in for my first beta draw on 2/8/09 and it was 65.7.  My dr. office was very excited.  I went in for a 2nd draw on 2/10/09 and my beta was at 143 and progesterone 26.  They are still very excited with my numbers.  I'm curious what my numbers should be.  I can't figure out exactly what DPO means and what my actual dates are.  I am also experiencing some vaginal bleeding only after BM.  I'm so excited, but concerned at the same time.  Any words of advice out there?

Congratulations on you BFP!  That's great that your #'s are duobling, as they should be and that your doctor's office is so excited for you.  Below is a chart that was sent to me a while back, so I could see where I was supposed to be.  I'm guessing that you ovulated on 1/22 - is that when you triggered?  Since your retrieval was on 1/24, you typically trigger 2 days before.  That would make you 20DPO (20 days past ovulation), if I'm doing my math right....?  According to the below chart, you are right where you are supposed to be...the typical range is between 135-1690.  As long as you are in the range, that's what they want to see!  I hope this information helps.  Good luck!!!!

Below is the chart for you to look at.

At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml.

At 15 DPO, the average HCG level is 59 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-147 mIU/ml.

At 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml.

At 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml.

At 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml.

At 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml.

At 20 DPO, the average HCG level is 522 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 135-1690 mIU/ml.

At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 324-4130 mIU/ml.

At 22 DPO, the average HCG level is 1287 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 185-3279 mIU/ml.

At 23 DPO, the average HCG level is 2034 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 506-4660 mIU/ml.

At 24 DPO, the average HCG level is 2637 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 540-10,000 mIU/ml.

My first ultrasound is on 2/10/09.  Really don't seem to strain during bm.  I've spotted off and on since 2/5/09 and I mentioned it to the nurses and they aren't too concerned see my betas were okay.

First of all, congratulations on your BFP!!! Your beta number is good...they look for them to be more than 25 and they seem to be doubling quite well...When is your first ultrasound? If the bleeding continues or becomes bothersome, you should let your RE or nurse know ASAP...it could be implantation bleeding...that is certainly. Are you straining when move your bowels?
