Hair coloring while prego

I know this might sound vain but I really need to do something with my hair. It's not much the difference in color from roots to ends but the "white hairs"....yes, I have them and a lot (guess great genes from my mother side).  Anyone knows of anything I can put on my hair without hurting my babies? I'm just 7weeks.

I'll keep it on my mind. I'm going out shopping to Natural Food places to see what else is out there.  It's funny how we believe in things that have been passed by our grandmothers and have not been scientifically proved!  Let you all know! Thanks again!

My hairdresser is preggo (this is her third one) and says that today's products do not harm the baby. Also, I know both of my sister's dyed their hair while preggo and they were fine - in fact, one had twins!

If you are looking for something that won't irritate you, try Color Silk. You can find it at Wal Mart and it doesn't have amonia - doesn't smell horrible. Also, it's pretty cheap and covers/colors well. I think it costs like $3.

i colored my hair at an aveda salon at 5 weeks pregnant (my wedding ceremony was at 6 weeks pregnant)
my midwife said it was fine since the newer natural dyes are a while lot better than the old ones.
i am almost 22 weeks along now and the baby is doing just fine :)

You could try organic hair dye

http://www.thedailygreen.com

This is what I found. Or you could google organic hair dye. I found a bunch of websites for you to browse through
Another thing would be to go to your local Wholefoods or Trader Joes. I'm not sure if you have those in your area but you could look up All natural food stores, they should sell chemical free or organic hair dyes.

I hope this helps.

My dr said no hair coloring for the first trimester. I wonder, though, if there are "all natural" hair coloring kits out there...
