IUI performed 2 days before Ovulation. Good or bad? anyone ended up Preggo with that timing

I did U/S on Monday May 3. Found 3 follies (19, 18 and 17) and Monitor reading was high. Doctor decided to do IUI earlier. We did it on May 4 but the monitor still says high (not peak). My temp continues to rise today but still no peak LH on monitor. I've read that washed sperm can live up to 72 hours. Anyone had a BFP doing IUI 2 days prior to ovulation. Please help, I'm confused!!!

Thank you all. Yes we continue to BD every night and planning on doing so until Sunday just in case blood work but we did an U/S the day before IUI and she said I had 3 mature follicles (19,18, 17), that's why she rushed IUI the day after. I had a temp drop the day before IUI, My temp has been rising ever since (3 days now). RE didn't think I needed a trigger shot due to follies and high reading on the monitor. I'm using Clearblue Digital ovulation monitor.

Washed sperm do not live as long as unwashed sperm--only between 24-36 hours according to my RE. Did you get an hcg shot on Monday?  If so, maybe you ovulated on Tues?  
I had intercourse the night before the first iui and again the night before the second iui just to increase my chances b/c unwashed sperm live longer. I don't know if it's recommended (due to sperm count considerations) but my husband's counts were fine even after doing it 12 hours before providing a sample...
If you haven't had an LH peak yet can you have intercourse tonight?

I did one right before and one after. Had the trigger shot the night prior to first IUI and definitely felt ovulation the afternoon after first IUI.  Not sure if it worked. I'm still in 2WW. Testing on Sunday.

What monitor are you referring to?  I thought Dr's check ovulation by your blood work?
