IVF @ age 41 - 3 cancelled cycles, worth trying again?

1st cycle Long protocol, 200IU Puregon w/ Superfact - 1 lead follicle cancelled
2nd cycle follicles growing on Day 2 of my cycle - cancelled (unable to use long protocol with BCP)
3rd cycle Short protocol, 300 IU Puregon w/ .75 Menopur & Orgalutron - 3 possible follicles (2.1, 1.5 & 1.2) decided to go to retreival regardless but LH of 8 Cancelled again because surge already happening.
Doc suggesting we're done - eggs old and of poor quality and that we'd be wasting our money.  
If we do go again it will be Long protocol 300IU Puregon w/ .75 menopur and Superfact since Orgalutron did not prevent the LH Surge.  Not sure if there's a more agressive treatment, if the recommended next step is as good as it gets or if we throw in the towel?

I am 39. I completed 4 IVF's last year-on max dosage of meds & was transferring 2-3 folliciles of 8 cell at a time which I was told looked Great.  My cycles never quite made it for one reason or another.
I am now pregnant with TWINS from a wonderful anoumyous donor.  
I would highly suggest doing the same & saving your money from doing your own IVF when most likely wont succeed from your track record.

I don't believe in giving up. Please take a break and use the time to try alternative medicine (accupuncture), DHEA to increase egg production.  I just had 3 IUI cucles that failed and decided to take April off and consider alternatives such as mini IVF. I think my body need a month to relax. I am sad and upset but my body need a break. Good luck!!
