I am about to have my egg retrivial  at the end of this week sometime and I was just hoping some of you ladies that have been throught his before can let me know how am I going to feel after. And also what can I do on or around my transfer day besides accupuncture that might help implantation. Thanks and any other advice, sucess stories, prayers or baby dust you wanna send my way would be appreciated too :)

thank you ladies for all your kind swords and prayers I really apperciate it. My retrival is now scheduled for friday and i am so excited. I just really hope this works for us. i have all my faith in god that this is our time to become parents. Doc thinks I have about 50 + eggs and they are giving me a lupron trigger to avoid OHSS the only down side to that is I have to do pregesterone shots in my butt but i would rather do that then OHSS. I will keep you ladies posted and I hope most of my eggs fertilize. They are also going to take half my eggs and try traditional ivf and the other half with ICSI due to us also having male factor infertility on top of me having pcos so that will we will know if my husbands sperm can penetrate the egg on its own. any of you ladies ever heard or done this ??

Hello! good luck on your ET-it isn't too bad at all! Just some cramping afterwards but be aware of the symtoms of OHSS! I became very bloated afterward ( looked about 6 months pregnant!) and was very uncomfortable. Turns out my ovaries were 4x their size and my abd. was filled with fluid! This was because they overstimulated me but it only lasted about 1 week and we retrieved 21 eggs! If you start feeling like the bloating is getting worse, not better, dont hesitate to call your doctor ASAP! We had 13 fertilize and 2 made it to the blast stage, they are now frozen and waiting for us to schedule our transfer! Best of luck to you:)

Hey there,

My RE retrieved 24 eggs, and I was pretty groggy and sore after the retrieval.  They should give you pain meds to help and after a day or two, you should be back to normal.  

Of the 24 eggs retrieved, 19 fertilized with ICSI, transfered 2 5 day blasts, and froze 3 5 day blasts.  Unfortunately i got a BFN, but my FET is Friday, so I am trying acupuncture this time and hoping for my BFP if my embies make it successfully to thaw!

I will be praying for a smooth retrieval and successful transfer for you!

try to relax. i had very little pain after the retreival and went back to normal activity that afternoon.  the hardest part was waiting for the phone call the next day with the fertilization report :)
i did acupuncture before and after my transfer, as well as a week later.
and am now holding my 10 day old baby girl :)
