I was on clomid for 7 months and I rarely say my doctor during that time. I tested OPKs starting day 10 or 11 and every month it was positive on day 15 or 16. If you get to day 17 without a pos OPK I would schedule an ultrasound to make sure you have follicles being produced. They can always give you a trigger shot like Ovidrel to make you ovulate within 36 hours. Good luck = )
I am monitored by u/s to check follies and to watch for cysts. The 1st round I did, they also did a cd21 progesterone. But have not done b/w since. Once o is confirmed and hpt can be done 12-14 days after.
i was on clomid too cd 5-9 and my doctor monitored me by doing scan to check the follices i did two scan one at day 10 he saw two follices that seem will mature cos they were 11.7mm then another one at cd15 before he gave me trigger shot later in the day cause i had 2 mature follices at 23.7mm and 21mm.
when I did clomid I was still seeing my ob/gyn. they didn't really tell me anything about it, and didn't do any monitoring. i was to start opk's around day 10 or 11, and bd every other day. then i'd call when I got my period. I was not impressed. after a few months of this we moved on to our RE only to find out I had a giant cyst that took 3 months to go away. I was fairly regular at 28-29 days, so I started testing on day 10, and was usually + by CD15.
