Infertility issues

Hi,
I am 31 years old. My wife is 29 years old. Me and my wife are trying for baby since 1 year now without any protective measures. When approached Gyneocologist and they have prescribed to take Thyroxine 100 ug for 2 months. In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. At the moment I stopped taking thyroxine and taking only Cipro.

Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now?

Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.

Due to the above issue my wife's menstrual cycle extends upto 40 days if we do an intercourse. But if there is no intercourse it becomes normal of 30 days.

Hypothyroidism is not curable but it also should not prevent you from getting pregnant once it is properly managed. All it does it's effect your hormone levels which can be managed with proper medication.

hyperthyroidism cannot be cured it can only be treated and managed with medication. Before you go through I UI and IBS try this stuff. A friend of mine used it to her husband has low sperm count and she has issues so they both took it and they were pregnant within 6 months. Wish you the best.

thanks for your answer. But, is this hypothyroidism is curable?
Can we have a baby? or do we need to go for IUI or IVF only?

I know hypothyroidism can cause issue on both the make and female side,  whichever side had the hypothyroidism. The main med I know of  for hypothyroidism is Synthroid. I am not familiar with the other meds you mentioned. I do know with Synthroid it can take up to a year of being on it and determining the right dose for it to be effective.
