Hi Ladies,

I went for my first appointment with my family dr. today, did more blood works and urine test. The next u/s will be around week11 to week 13,  I will try to get it done before Chirstmas. My dr. also mentioned there is one u/s calls Intergrated Prenatal Screening(IPS), it can tell if you have a lower or higher chance than ususal of having Down syndrome, trisomy 18 or an open neural tube defect baby. This is an optional u/s, 2/3of women in Canada will choose to do it and 1/3 are not. Have any of you heard about it? Do you think if it is necessary to have one ?

Hi Ladies,
I'm sorry to be so quick these days but I'm swamped with marking right now.  Maria, I'm sure it was just too early to see your little one's heart.  For the rest of you, I'm glad to hear that you are all doing so well!  You are all approaching the end of your trimester so fast ~ The second trimester will be here before we all know it!  Yipee!
I am doing well.  This morning, while I was lying down, I could feel the smallest of bumps above my pubic bone.  My dh felt it as well.  So I think my little one is growing.  I go for my u/s in exactly one week and hope that it is all healthy.  Rumours are finally starting to go around my town that I'm pregnant and I'm having difficulty squashing them.  So I might tell people sooner than later if my next u/s goes well.  Other than that, I've noticed my symptoms are a bit less of a pain lately. I don't have nausea as much (but I avoid all the things that give it to me) and my bb's don't hurt as much.  This made me worry at first but with the appearance of my little bump today, I feel much less worried.
Anyways, I hope you are all well and that you are having a great week thus far!  All the best!

Maria - yes don't you worry now! at 9.5 weeks, it is common not to hear the baby's heart..I am surprised though that they didn't do normal u/s to see the baby's heartbeat and movements :) I am sure that if the heart beat is there, then sometimes you will hear it! Don't panic yet :)
I know how you feel!!!any bad news always make me shake!!!Don't draw conclusions yet!
You know, its like me, first technician had monior to herself and I just laid there...she wouldn't drop a word on how im doing AT ALL! I was laying there and wondering is my baby ok? She wouldn't say anything forever and my heart became to drop....finally she turned her monitor to me in like FOREVER, and I saw my little one!!...
I might change the doctor I don't like how they treat me...I will not jugde yet, see what they do tomorrow :)

Anya- There was no u/s yesterday. But it was like the same thing what they insert during transvaginal u/s. But this was connected to a doppler instead of u/s machine. I am going for u/s today at 2pm. I am crossing my fingers and praying that everything will be fine. I am this constant pain in my lower abdomen and OB said that might be due to enlarged cysts. we will get to know today. I totally agree with you when you say that RE office is better. We get to know the results right there. Here we have to wait. You saw your baby and heart beat.. you just have to hear it... :)

Zuz- Thanks a lot!! I am looking forward to see my baby today

Girls pray for my baby... !!

Hi Ladies, how are you all?  I'm doing ok.  The less I eat, the better I feel.

Eternidad, I saw your baby bump!  How cute! :)

Maria, don't worry about not hearing it right now.  I read in What to Expect When You're Expecting that its normal to hear the heartbeat a little later in your pregnancy via doppler like at around 12-14 wks.  I think my RE office has a specific vaginal u/s that allowed us to hear ours.  So don't you worry!

Anya:  Try to remember that sometimes no news is good news!  I'm sure baby is fine and, God willing, your bumps in the road will begin smoothing out very soon!

Dream_girl, I'm glad you're feeling better!

Hope you are all well!
