My cd21 progesterone is 11

Hubby's s/a came back normal.  But dr. said my progesterone is a little low.  (11) Can somebody tell me what that could mean?  And what can be done to fix this?  We've been ttc naturally for 7 months now with no luck... ready for the dr. to step in  and i'm wandering what you all think he will do.

Everything you need to know about progesterone (and more).  And ya, you O'd.  So there's something else that hasn't been addressed.  Just as a side note...a few low tech things you can try are Robitussin and B-6.  Ask your doc for dosage.  Hope that helps!

With a level of 11, you definitely ovulated! It's hard to say what causes fertility issues. I'm in the same boat. Everything looks excellent with both me and DH, yet it's very hard for us to get pregnant. I've had two miscarriages in three and a half years, but still no baby. Your doctor might recommend clomid and/or IUI to start with.

As for progesterone, it basically needs to be above 10 in order to support a possible pregnancy. If you do get pregnant, the levels usually rise much higher as the pregnancy progresses.

So my progesterone is a little on the low side of normal. Which indicates that i probably ovulated.  And  my hubby's s/a shows 64 % normal with good forward movement.  (dr says that is a good normal result.)  So i don't get it at all.  If everything is within normal limits what could it beeeeeeeeeeeee!?  

Better question:  
What will the dr. do, perhaps try Clomid?  I have read somewhere that's good to help raise your progesterone.   And more specifically I would like to know the role progesterone plays in trying to get pg/conception??

Kristy's right... a level of 10 or more is considered good in a non-medicated cycle, but if you're on any type of fertility meds, they usually like to see a higher number. I've read 15, but my RE says 12.

If you need to increase your progesterone, you'll probably get an oral or vaginal supplement to take in the 2WW.

RE told me on a natural cycle they want it above 10.  Mine was 13.8 and RE was happy with that.  If it was below 10 then I would have started the progesterone inserts (vaginally) to help with that.
