Please help - PCOS? Metformin and/or Clomid

I am 30 years old, been married for 5 years now, actively TTC for 3;
got tested recently with the following results: AMH = 5.12 ng/l, Haemoglobin HA1C = 5.7%; HSG came out clear no tubal blockages. I have a 32 day average cycle, ovulate regularly ( using the OPK), 15lbs overweight. My husband was tested and his semen test came out fine; Dr diagnosed PCOS and has put me on Metformin (500mg for a week and 1,000mg every week after this) till the next cycle when i start on 50mg of Clomid.
Could it really be possible that i have PCOS? What is the success rate with Metformin and Clomid?  What time of the day is best to take the Clomid? Can i take pre-natal vitamins at the same time? I will be so grateful for an answer. Thank you.

Thanks a lot for your response Carrie. The doctor has said i may be ovulating but maybe not strongly enough for conception. I am keeping my fingers crossed for this cycle with Clomid...
I wish you the best and pray that you get a BFP very very soon.

Has your Dr taken Blood test and/or looked at your Ovaries to determine that you have PCOS? You say you O every cycle, which is not common for women with PCOS. Clomid makes you Ovulate, so maybe your DR thinks you are not Oing. I started taking metformin 3 months ago which I believe has helped me take off a few pounds and helped me be more successful with clomid this time around. Over a year ago I took clomid for three cycles and never Ovulated. This time I did get a positive OPK, temps rose and had EWCM, so I'm pretty positive that I Oed. Prenatals are always a good idea to take when TTC. You can take clomid, prenatals and metformin all at once. no issues here. i heard clomid is best taken at night before bed because the symptoms are better. I take mine in the morningand suffered with head aches, moodiness, and hot flashes. Next round I'm definitely taking at night to see if there is a difference.
many women are going through the same thing on the furum any1 get pregnant on first cycle of clomid. you should check it out it's very supportive too.

Hugs~~~
