Pregnancy in over 40 s

I am 45, have three grown up children 22,20 & 17. I divorced their dad about 10 years ago and the relationship between us has always been good and strong, it still it. So the kids have grown up fairly normally, with no arguing parents to be pulled apart between. We have always been very careful.  I have been for the last 18 months seeing a much younger man, 32, and now find myself pregnant.  I have not said anything to anyone and dont know how my kids will take it, not to mention the fear I feel at my age.  Full of apprehension and in need of impartial advise.

My mom had my little sister when she was 42 and I'm 28 and my brother is 25, in the beginning we had some reserves about it but once she was here that was it. She is the most spoiled little girl around and the most loved, the funny part is that me and my husband are trying and my little sister will be an aunt by the time she is 6 lol...congrats and just tell them I think they will be ok

Well, most things work themselves out in the long run.  Right now, you need to focus on taking care of you and the baby.  You need to contact your doctor and get in and get started getting taken care of.  Of course, you know your high risk (I am also 45, and pregnant, but on purpose, through IVF)  Anyway, again, this is the time to worry about you and baby... all the other stuff will work itself out in the next 9 or so months....

But like every past and family there is always a bigger story to it. Not sure how truthful to be on here as I'm new to it.  But thank you mhv for your reply and kind words.
